Beautiful Hele! And such restraint.

I got that one too as well as a Sunnie, and they arrived today!!

I like Merry Iris, but not as much as I feel like I should given its colors. But I LOVE Sunnie. Wowie!!

Photos tomorrow in the light.

Oh that merry iris is so pretty!! It does look a bit darker than on the website. Too bad they went out of stock before I could get one :( Maybe during the next sale

For those of you who know me and my hairtype (OK, and yes, my hairtoy weaknesses) from other threads, will a Flexi-8 stay in a ponytail or half-up on hair like mine? They look pretty, but are they any kinder to hair in a ponytail or half-up than a "Made In France" (good) barrette? I keep thinking that if it's snug enough to not slide down, then it's not going to be any better for my hair than one of the older barrettes I already own and like. Thoughts?

thanks Quasiquixotic,
I can't wait for my XL to come in. that does look big enough to put updos up with. :D

I almost got the sunni too, but gold doesn't go with (green) ash brown i dont think and i'm not to fond of the combination. but those orange beads! aaagh! if it was silver....

Me vs my purse: :slap:

Willowyn, yeah I think it will stay for you - if you get the size right. And I don't recommend the dangles for a first purchase - they can tangle for lots of people, including me.

To me, they are kinder than some barrettes, but about equal to my really good, older French barrettes. The difference for me is that I like them in half-ups, and I can't find French barrettes small enough for half-ups for me. I don't wear them a whole lot for ponytails, but I thin they are different than the barrettes in that case They make kind of a hybrid between a pony with an elastic (round) and the flattened pony you get with a barrette, so it's a bit of a different look. I just don't find that they hold as well for me as I like (for that matter, night do barrettes).

What I love flexis for, and use them for mostly, is half-ups (they are PERFECT for half-ups, and so pretty!) and buns. I actually don't have to make mine very tight to hold the half-up; they just hold up by some unknown alchemy. :p

Hele and Quasi, lovely lovely flexis!
I love the sunny one, too bad I didn't notice it when I ordered....
I also ordered a merry iris, I am a bit disappointed that it's " so black" it looked lighter on the web site... I have a crimson joy or whatever is called the last December one , in black metal, and because it's black I don't like it very much....
( and otherwise I got myself a ladybug (it was a must for me...) and a green dragonfly, because I always wanted to day one of those...)and yes, some iris pins too, to try them...

My first Flexi shipped on the 1st, but my tracking number doesn't work. How long does it usually take to start showing where the package is? I'm from Europe, if that makes some kind of difference.

Thanks. :)

I'm in Europe too -- in my experience, information starts showing up within about a day, but it isn't always terribly useful except to indicate that the parcel's progress while still in the US is slooooow. (The status of my first Black Friday parcel currently reads "shipment in transit to destination", which is really amazingly specific, right?)

And once it's left the US all bets are off anyway, because whether or not any more tracking information shows up seems to depend on whether the postal workers along the processing chain actually update it. I've received parcels before which, going by the tracking info, never actually entered my country.

I was frankly surprised when hubby brought them home last night. My tracking said estimated delivery Friday. I have no clue how the hitched a ride on the Tardis and got here so soon. I wish they would teach all my packages that trick.

I officially love the Sunnie flexi.

Thank you all for the oohs and awws. I can't wait to see your beauties. I'm hoping to get some action shots today.

Just yesterday a lot of my hair came off again so I am back from tailbone to little over BSL.

My bun didn't work anymore, hair too short! But reverting to the old technique and of course the power of the flexi I managed.

Here's grace!

Gorgeous, eadwine! Glad to see that the flexi-8s still work for you at this shorter length!

My ladybug is still far away, it hasn't left USA yet according to the tracking, so I had some fun with two of my L flexi-8s instead. I made a disc bun and clipped each loop down with a flexi. The result was a nice, messy bun with sparkly accents on the sides. It holds so well too. I think I might have tried this before, but it must have been long ago. It's an awesome way to wear smaller flexis :D

I got my order. I'm not keeping everything. The Salernos unfortunately either snagged my hair or the center didn't lay right, and the bobby pins were so tight they were (sadly) impossible to use. So these are the ones I'm keeping (and I love them!):

The bobbies really are tight... but on the upside, that means they'll NEVER fall out! I find I have to be really careful when taking them out, though, or they'll take some hair with them.

Thank you, lapushka. I've never had a flexi small enough for a braid, but I loved the way it looked on others. I'm happy with the effect. :) Not sure what's going on with that picture though, it looks sort of pixellated and weird on my screen.

Thanks, Theobroma. I really couldn't get along with the bobby pins. I have long nails and I just felt like inserting and removing them would endanger either my hair or my nails no matter what. It's a shame because they are very pretty. (As an aside, I couldn't see your picture with the Hoots, but since everyone else wasn't having trouble I didn't want to say anything... Is it from your LHC album and it's set to only friends or something?)

Those are beautiful, Zesty!

The bobbies really are tight... but on the upside, that means they'll NEVER fall out! I find I have to be really careful when taking them out, though, or they'll take some hair with them.

They are... I know they wil eat my hair but I don't know if I want to really return them... they are so pretty. Maybe they can be stuck in the bun like little pikes instead

My order arrived Friday and I'm so in love with the Marrakesh Romance I wore it for two days in a row. They accidentally sent me Mega thistle - at first I was a little disappointing because man, that thing is huge, but it works nicely as a bun cage and I just discovered it will hold a Helix bun, so I think I'll keep it.

http://i.imgur.com/w0Ib9iJ.png
It seemed so tiny, I thought it might be suffering from odd sized FOTM-ness but I compared it to my native filigree and it's the same size.

I love that ladybug, Eadwine!

TrapperCreekD, all of those are gorgeous, but the blue is outstanding! (Of course, i have a very serious blue prejudice, so.......:p). Still, they all look great in your hair and I like the Thistle worn that way!

LisaLong4Life, that Sapphire Ice is stunning against your beautiful dark hair! It makes the perfect canvas for it!

Ok, a question for all. Does anyone store their flexis bent around anything, as though they were in hair? Or does everyone store them flat? I'm considering wall storage for mine, and that would mean they would have to stay bent, and I'm unsure if that would be good for them or not? Because my bun is to teeny even when I'm not shedding that they really don't have to bend! (especially my minis, which I only use for half-ups). So - how do you all store your flexis?

eadwine
December 7th, 2015, 03:16 PM
I hang mine on a knitted thing, all horizontal. Thinking of something new though, but that is how I do it now.

Theobroma
December 7th, 2015, 03:46 PM
Mine just get piled in a drawer, so the 8's aren't permanently bent. Though I doubt it would harm them, since that's some serious wire they're made of. I ruined a set of needle nosed jewellery pliers trying to mod one. :O

two_wheels
December 7th, 2015, 03:50 PM
After some major collection pruning I'm trying to rethink storage so everything is visible. Latest madcap plan is floristry foam in a little box then stand forks and flexis up in that. We will see.

rags
December 7th, 2015, 04:08 PM
Ah, the "pile in a drawer" had been my strategy, and it seems to work well for my larger clips - but my minis are just getting sadly neglected as they just get in a jumble and I end up wearing the same two or three that are in front all the time. And as I have more minis than any other size - that is sad!

I actually purchased this to hang them on https://www.etsy.com/transaction/1090282175 but the "hair" is very coarse yarn, and is braided quite tightly, and it's much too large around to fit a mini. My mediums still have to flex to go around it. So I was considering making something like ti with a much skinnier braid. I'm mostly afraid that if one doesn't get worn for a while, it will stay flexed and not conform back flat? Hmm....

Theobroma 0_0. That is some strong wire then!

Two_Wheels, I already have four vases for some of my forks (the dymondwood ones live in a storage box to keep the light out). I've no room for any more vases and need to go on the walls! Yes, I'm a hairtoy addict. No, I don't care. This is AFTER major pruning!!

I store mine flat. Because my collection has grown rather a lot, I am in need of some new storage boxes though! I'd quite like a way to display the flexis, I've seen some people who hook them onto things and that looks nice.

TrapperCreekD those flexis look lovely, and I don't think the thistle looks too big at all.

My colours on parade arrived this morning! It's really pretty, especially when the sunlight hits it. I'm saving it for Xmas (along with fall harvest and hoot).

I've gotten hairsticks with that same type of flat-backed gems, and they are very fragile at being pried on. I glued my hairsticks back together a good bit-luckily catching the gems when they break. Be super careful with that type of sparkle.

I'm wondering how much the tracking info is worth on international transactions.

My first package has allegedly been "in country" since 4 Dec. No updates since then. Which doesn't surprise me all that much because the 4th was last Friday and Tuesday (8 Dec) was a public holiday here, so one would expect things to be moving more slowly while lots of people take advantage of a four-day weekend.

But... my second parcel was updated as being "in country" at 5:32 p.m. on... 8 Dec. So am I to take it that the postal workers were on the job on a public holiday, but left the older parcel to sit around anyway? It doesn't seem to make much sense that I can see!

ETA: Aaaand... parcel No. 2 has arrived, while parcel No. 1 is still nowhere in sight. Grr.

December 10th, 2015, 08:45 AM
Actually I have to revise what I said about the tracking somewhat.

The parcel I received today -- which contains my pair of mini Winter Celebrations with one altered to be a lefty -- was actually the first one LR sent out despite being the second order I placed. (Tracking still says it's "in country", though, so the tracking info remains pretty useless at any point after the shipment has entered the country!)

With luck their XL mate will show up tomorrow... *crosses fingers*

Willowyn
December 10th, 2015, 09:25 AM
Theobroma, when you say altered to be a lefty, do you mean that the "hinge" would be on the left so that's the side you'd insert the attached stick from, and that the point and latch would be on the right?

ETA: If yes, then Arete's pic is of a lefty??

Theobroma
December 10th, 2015, 09:28 AM
Exactly, Willowyn! That's the only kind of "customisation" they currently do (I'm still hoping for actual customs to return at some point, though). To get it done, you place the order, then email them with the order number and ask for a lefty clip.

I've done this twice now and have had no problems. (I'm a righty, but I've developed a taste for using two Minis as accent clips on either side of my bun, so for some designs I need one of them to be a lefty.)

Didn't think I had to as my hair is Apl and not that thick. Small is perfect for ponytail and xs for a braid. Medium works for a french twist and a sort of lazy wrap, but not for my everyday messy bun-style.

Everyone's Flexis and updos look lovely!

:thudpile: Wasn't going to buy any more flexis this year, but your gorgeous action picture of the crimson joy convinced me that I needed that one. I didn't like it in the pictures on lillarose, but I think it looks completely different when it's in a bun. I hope it arrives before Christmas, because I'd love to wear it on Christmas eve. :o

Also, my ladybug arrived! I'll try to get a picture tomorrow, it's so dark here now. Even DBF said that the ladybug was really pretty :D

I'm super pleased with it. Loving the copper rose, it's not helping me resist buying one in large...

I've been meaning to come back and say how beautiful this is! Of course I am partial to the rose/rose combo since I wore it recently too :) What size are you wearing in your half-up? I have an XS that slides out if I use it solo in a half-up, but I'm wondering if it would stay put if the rest of my hair is in a bun instead of loose.

My Black Friday sale package arrived yesterday, but unfortunately my Winter Celebration You-Pins (https://shop.lillarose.biz/MemberToolsDotNet/ShoppingCartv3/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=20865&CatalogueID=211&PartyID=0&PartyGuestID=0&InternalUse=1&ProductGroupString=111.110) had morphed into a large flexi... so back that will go for a do-over. In the meantime, here's my stash--in nature, and lounging inside on a couple of my dresses (playing spot-the-flexi). The Winter Celebration (https://shop.lillarose.biz/MemberToolsDotNet/ShoppingCartv3/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=20856&CatalogueID=211&PartyID=0&PartyGuestID=0&InternalUse=1&ProductGroupString=109.110), Merry Iris (https://shop.lillarose.biz/MemberToolsDotNet/ShoppingCartv3/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=20765&CatalogueID=211&PartyID=0&PartyGuestID=0&InternalUse=1&ProductGroupString=109.110), Hibiscus Sea (https://shop.lillarose.biz/MemberToolsDotNet/ShoppingCartv3/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=20284&CatalogueID=211&PartyID=0&PartyGuestID=0&InternalUse=1&ProductGroupString=109.110) and Hibiscus Sunset (https://shop.lillarose.biz/MemberToolsDotNet/ShoppingCartv3/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=20286&CatalogueID=211&PartyID=0&PartyGuestID=0&InternalUse=1&ProductGroupString=109.110) are all mediums, and the Simple Band Black Nickel (https://shop.lillarose.biz/MemberToolsDotNet/ShoppingCartv3/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=20005&CatalogueID=211&PartyID=0&PartyGuestID=0&InternalUse=1&ProductGroupString=109.110) is mega. So many beuatiful pictures !

I wish....

Well my package arrived yesterday, finally, and on top of being charged $29 in customs for a $72 order ( bah, these Canadian customs just don't want to let anybody get happy, ever! Almost 50% extra in custom fees, c'mon!) so on top of that ( no I don't blame anybody...) one of my u pins in merry iris is bent out of shape, with the decoration laying along the legs.... I just wrote to lilla rose, to see what happens, I hope that they cover the shipping back, because really they packed it so poorly, just in bubble wrap...

Anybody has experience with international returns?

Ugh, sorry your you-pins were mangled. Bubble wrap is fine for Flexis, but seems like tempting fate with the pins!

To answer (sort of) your question, the one time I received an item I wasn't happy with, I got in touch with them and specifically asked about the logistics of international returns. They replied that they'd send me a replacement and not to bother returning the faulty item.

I don't know whether this is the norm. At one point I did hear they were working on setting up an address in Europe for us to send returns to, but I'm not sure whether anything ever came of that. They may have been unaware that international postage within Europe can vary so much by country. It's probably cheaper for them just to write off the odd clip!

Crystawni
December 16th, 2015, 02:12 AM
*raises hand* I'm just doing my first one now. At first I was sent the wrong info for a return/exchange after emailing them (it was for the US, not international) . And then I was meant to print emails, receipts and other stuff out, and scan stuff, and, and, and... no printer or scanner, and none nearby, so naaaaaaaah. Not happening. I have to pay the return shipping (I'm re-using the envelope my order came in) and they'll reimburse up to $4 US if I put the postage receipt in with the package... Well, it costs more here to send, so yay, and the package will be sealed, so they'll have to be content with the stamps and stuff ON the package that shows what I paid. All because they sent me the wrong item... And that's not factoring in me getting to and from the post office (have to organise transport due to waiting for parts to fix my car), and filling out Customs Forms (with ID). Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. Good luck, Adi! It's a shame your You-Pin was flattened, although judging by my own package--no fancy Lilla-Rose bags or anything this time, just a zip-lock bag in the padded envelope--I'm not surprised. And those fees of yours! Wow! :(

ETA: There was both a US addy, and a European addy (Germany) to do returns to on the PDF I was sent.
Aaaaand I won't be getting my You-Pins sent to me until after they receive the wrongly-sent flexi from me. So, I'm looking at a month or two before this is finalised. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

December 16th, 2015, 03:56 AM
Wow, I'm sorry so many of you are having trouble. Hopefully things will go more smoothly than you think. They really should start using boxes, I've found it odd that they only use the bubble mailers. Especially for international packages!

Now I'm slightly nervous about mine, but I guess it's a whole different ballgame having things shipped in the U.S., plus the free exchanges thing here.

Theobroma
December 16th, 2015, 04:00 AM
Crystawni -- oh, yuck. International buying is all very well until something goes wrong, and then it very quickly becomes a very big pain in the neck!

From my perspective it's good to know, at least, that there is a German address for returns. I can probably just about send a Flexi across the border to Germany for the same postage that Flexi charges for sending it all the way across the Atlantic. That's how crazy shipping charges are in Europe...

Adiro, a thought about the flattened pin. Is it actually damaged, or could you rotate the topper back to its proper orientation?

I'm asking because I didn't like the angle of the topper to the pin on my Grace set. It was 90%, which looked a bit odd when worn, so I gently tried to rotate the toppers a little and it worked. They aren't soldered in place, there's a little jawlike hinge on the topper that grips the top of the pin by pressure, so perhaps you could try twisting it back to its proper position. You might have to re-tighten the jaws with a pair of pliers afterwards if the jaws have worked loose from the initial squishing and your attempt to twist it back, but in theory this could work.

I sent a Flexi back in October. It was a Fantastic! in m. There was something on the CP and I used a hankie to remove what ever it was and the gold came off and they offered me immediately a new one. I accepted it and it was no problem at all. I sent mine back to Hamburg, Germany and within 4 weeks I had a new one. Have to say that I live in Germany.

All the flexis in this thread are so beautiful! I was so inspired that I bought my own—my first ever hair toy! I got a small copper rose and so far have used it only to secure a Jamie Leigh bun. Loving it so far, though my scalp doesn't exactly enjoy the fact that I'm wearing my hair up so many days in a row because of it...

Here's a picture (sorry for the blurriness—I have such trouble trying to take photos of my own hair):

I think I'll get a larger one for my next purchase. I have pretty thin hair, but bunned I think a medium or a large will hold quite well.

Well, thanks to the encouragement both here and the hubster, I "kicked up a stink"--well, voiced my concerns before bed last night, and received a lovely response this morning. My You-Pins will be sent ASAP and I get to keep the flexi as a gift for me, family or friend. :D Thank you all for prying the screaming voice from my head to my fingers! And thank you, Lilla Rose!

I have tried all my new flexis in my hair, but no pics until I wear them "properly". Gotta say I love them all, though! Aaaaand, I can now wear a medium as a ponytail holder (size small is my norm, but my hair has sprouted...).

As for recent action pics on here, samanthaa, your copper rose is a stunning first hairtoy for you! Just perfect! Really perfect! And I LOVE the Merry Iris on morrigan, Kaya and JadedByEntropy (and the Celtic Knot!). ladies, thank you for advice

i did get a reply that I have to ship it back and they will cover up to $4 of the shipping cost ( duh, canada post is $8.13 for smallest package without tracking or $15.60 with tracking...) now I'm supposed to have extra expenses in shipping it back too.. i just told them that shipping is more expensive than what they are willing to cover but they didn't reply back....

Theobroma, thank you for advice...one clip is definitely soldered in place, cannot be moved or bent at all. the "wrong" one I can see the little hinge but the flower is having so much "play" that it doesn't want to stay in perpendicular position, like the one which seem soldered. initially it was fully flat along the legs... Of course I could put some glue and fix it, but still... paying so much for two pins, one would expect them to be good, not home fixed from the beginning....

Hmm. I had a closer look at my Grace pins and you're right, there's some sort of fill inside the jaws of the "hinge". I was able to shift mine slightly anyway, but I suppose one shouldn't bank on being able to do that on every pin!

Anyway, stay firm. If your order arrived damaged because the packaging was insufficient to protect it in transit, it's their mistake and you should not be penalised for it. Do you have a consultant? If so, I'd get in touch with her about the issue just to keep her in the loop and make sure you concern gets heard by as many people as possible who could make a difference. LR customer service has always been absolutely first-class, but I'm not liking this recent spate of asking international customers to pay return postage for being sent the wrong item. If this is the start of a downward trend in their customer care, we shouldn't just silently accept it.

***A heads-up for those who wanted to get the Merry Iris You-Pins. (I've been stalking the webpage, hoping to order a XL Merry Iris...:o) Anyways, I noticed when I clicked on the you-pins, despite the sold-out banner striped across the photo, if you actually go to the product page, you can order them. At least, they show a count of remaining items in stock, which went down by three when I placed my order! :D So, I'm waiting for an e-mail saying that it was a website glitch and they aren't actually available, but until then, I'm happy! So get 'em while you can!***

An action shot of my XL Colors on Parade. I have it in L as well. The pin is a bit long on the XL, but it fits my bun better; I don't feel like it's just barely stretching to fit like the L. Guess it just depends on the bun. Love this one! And I'm getting used to the soft tinkling of the gem drops of the tail. :crush:

My first flexis arrived last week - a montana in S, a elegance in XS and a fascinating in M. I love them! The XS fits a ponytail but slides out of half-ups, I'll need a mini for that. The S fits peacock twists and french twists, an an M holds twisty bunny things (my hair is noy yet long enough for proper buns). And they hold my fine slippery hair so well - my profile photo shows Montana in S in my hair after a days work :)

Well my Hoot arrived 2 days ago. I can now understand why everyone like them so much. :D

It holds my hair well, and L fits well, imo at least. Now I need more flexis.

Everyone's pictures are beautiful. :)

Has anyone in the US experienced some super long shipping? I ordered my Charlottes Web the second it came back in stock and the tracking has shown it departed Compton, CA for 7 days now. No updates, no package has shown up....etc. Never has taken so long before and I'm kind of wondering if I should contact them because no activity in a week since it supposedly left on a truck, kind of makes me nervous. =/

I had a very similar situation with my last order. It was stuck on 'shipping label has been created' somewhere in California for the entire time it was in transit. I wrote Lilla Rose and they responded back to wait a bit longer. I kid you not, the package was delivered within the next day or so. Evidently, this year during the holiday, USPS can neglect scanning packages as they progress through the system entirely. Add in the extended shipping times dues to the holiday rush, I wouldn't be too worried. But it never hurts to get in touch with LR s ust in case.

(Mind you, my orders have to go the length of the US and then some to the UK, but they are handled through the USPS the entire way. I usually have pretty decent delivery times, but this last one seemingly took forever.)

In other news, the order I placed earlier today has shipped. So either the Merry Iris you-pins are indeed in stock and they haven't updated the webpage, or I'm getting a different style entirely! :D

Crystawni, I definitely did on my latest order. I may have also considered another set of pins.

(And I got a mini winter wonder...)
(I may have bought matching pins...)
(And I couldn't resist a sunflower mini!)
(And of course I needed the sunflower pins too...)
(Don't look at me like that.)
(I have a problem, okay?)

Bahahahaha! I have the same problem, so a problem shared is, um... gone! Yeah. No problem!! :p Can't wait to see your pretties!

And Kaya, that's beautiful!

AspenSong, I can't comment on the slower US delivery, but I can say my tracking number didn't work AT ALL with my last order. And I don't even know if my You-Pins have shipped--I'm guessing they will just turn up... Adi, I hope they've responded to you by now. It took many hours before I heard back the last time.

Today I'm wearing my Winter Celebration medium flexi in a rough and low bun/flip kinda thing. :) Love this one (it also looks great nestled in the centre of a wrap bun, or with a French-twisted ponytail, or ponytail, or, or, or... Yeah, it's versatile!

I've just gotten into the flexi craze too. And now I have 3.

As far as shipping, every package I have sent or received in the past two months has missed at least one scan, making it appear to be sitting around going no where. Very frustrating, but I hope your package comes soon!

ladies, thank you for advice

i did get a reply that I have to ship it back and they will cover up to $4 of the shipping cost ( duh, canada post is $8.13 for smallest package without tracking or $15.60 with tracking...) now I'm supposed to have extra expenses in shipping it back too.. i just told them that shipping is more expensive than what they are willing to cover but they didn't reply back....

$8.00? I shipped mine back for about $5. (From Western Canada)

My Charlottes Web showed today! Phew!

Shorty, yes... It needs to be under 50g and to pass through their slot ( about 2 cm thickness) in order to go for $5.U Pins with a large head don't go through the slot.... I am guessing you shipped a flexi, not a pair of u pins.....

Crystawni, thank you for your concern.... Yes they finally answere today.... After I sent another message yesterday... They said taht they would replace my pins and I don't have to ship back, ( I guess because they don't want to cover the mailing expense...)

And what a beautiful little flexi, The winter celebration is, in your hair!

Thank you, Adi, and I'm soooo glad Lilla Rose responded to you in such a positive way! Our mail system with non-rigid envelopes is the same with the weight and 20 mm slot (I gauge the size at home through a 20 mm hand-hold slot of my plastic bread board if the package is small enough. :p). The price hikes in postage after that small weight/size are ridiculous (at least here).

(reposted from WEO) Today I'm wearing my Hibiscus Sea (https://shop.lillarose.biz/MemberToolsDotNet/ShoppingCartv3/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=20284&CatalogueID=211&PartyID=0&PartyGuestID=0&InternalUse=1&ProductGroupString=109.110), medium (yummy, hey!). I've found mediums, instead of smalls, now hold my ponytail as I've had a bit of sproutage. Aaaand, as that's the case, a medium can also hold a lwb or other centre-held bun if it grabs the stem of the bun (ponytail-size) with the bun(ny)tail tucked and wrapped around that stem.

Thank you, Willowyn! I was worried the mega would be too big, but XLs don't cut the mustard over my cinnabuns, so had to give this a try! I went for a more understated look as it's so large, which I think the Simple Band Black Nickel delivers, as it has that black neutrality plus softness of colour that seems to play with the lighter hair colouring well.

Today's Flexi is Winter Celebration (https://shop.lillarose.biz/MemberToolsDotNet/ShoppingCartv3/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=20856&CatalogueID=211&PartyID=0&PartyGuestID=0&InternalUse=1&ProductGroupString=109.110), large, holding a quad-coil LWB where the last coil is split to the left. The flexi looks sooooo small as it grabs the coils, but I like how the centrepiece pops.

eadwine, cute Christmas 'do!

Crystawni, your action shots are awesome as ever! I love the Winter Celebration in your hair and that bun looks so elegant and intricate -- is there a tutorial anywhere? As for the Mega, how do you find it holds when it goes all the way around the bun like a buncage?

I'm not sure my shed recovery has advanced to the point where my bun is firm enough to handle a Mega. The sheer weight of the pin could turn out to be a problem...
