    -OP-
Hi all, I'm looking into making a hair style directory thread, most of the existing ones contain dead links and none are stickied so they get lost easily.

    Here is what I'm thinking.

    Post 1: Explanation of thread
Post 2: Alphabetical list of hair styles
Post 3: Alphabetical list of braids with links (include link to Show Me Your Braids thread)
Post 4: Alphabetical list of buns with links (include link to Show Me Your Buns thread)
Post 5: Alphabetical list of ponytails with links
Post 6: Alphabetical list of other styles with links
Post 7: Alphabetical list of tools

Each detailed list contains links to tutorials, links to LHC threads discussing the style, and tags that identify information about the bun such as if it is center held, has modifications for extreme length, or requires special tools.

Post 2: Hair styles listed in alphabetic order with links to main categories (Braid, Bun, Curls, Ponytail, Other)
    Name Category (can be multiple)

Post 3-6: Alphabetical list of category with links to other resources
Name Tutorial(s) Style of month thread tools functional info (center held, etc) length suggestions

Post 7: General tools with links to related threads
    Name Links

I'm thinking this might work best as a locked thread, changes can be made by using the report button to alert mods to what needs to change, with a link to another thread (this one maybe) as a general discussion thread.

Thoughts! What types of information am I missing? Other categories? Other structure?

I think you've got most of it covered... I can't think of anything more to add.

Oh! Don't forget to include a link to the awesome video ladollyvita333 once made; it was a braid-dictionary of all kinds of braided styles. I can look it up for you... hang on... Yep got it!

Here are the styles I've got so far. Please read through and make sure that I'm not missing any and that I don't have duplicates in there under different names (I already caught quite a few, but may have missed some). Some of these are hard to track down, as they are from OLD LHC style lists with dead links and I can't find tutorials (or there is no consistency in what is called and Easy Hairstick Bun) and those are the ones that are likely to be duplicates. Ignore the dates, I'm working in part from the list of Style of the Month threads.

I'm not sure what category they would go in, but maybe a link to one of the multiple 'show me your winter hats/how do you wear your hair under winter hats?' and 'how do you wear headscarves' threads?

I'd probably put that under accessories. Good ideas!

I don't have a structural description for what Hypnotica does in many of her buns where she basically halves the length of her hair by twisting one half inside the other.

This video is a good example:

I'm looking for a one or two word description. Any ideas?
