I've looked everywhere for the signature option on my profile but I cant see it anywhere? whenever i go to 'my profile' or click on my username at the top of the page it tells me I dont have permission to access the page, is this why?

You're right on the button about why you don't have signature or profile access yet. It is due to your post count and user permissions. The tier with signatures comes at 25+ posts and moderator approval.To get a better understanding of things you might either encounter or wonder about, this thread will be of help.

Resurrecting this thread to ask: can someone please help me with my signature? I should have permission since I have plenty of posts and have been here nearly a year.
I can type something into the "edit signature" box and it shows up when I preview it but then I hit save and it's not showing on my posts.

You may not have selected it to show in your posts. When you reply in the forum, there's an Additional Options box, with Miscellaneous Options that has a Show your signature box that needs to be ticked. If that's not the case, then it could be a missed selection in your CP. My Account > General Settings > Thread Display Options > Show Signatures, although those who've selected that should/would probably see the signature you've made.
