I have such a hard time keeping this bun straight. The right side likes to tilt down. Am I the only one with this problem. I have to pin it to death to make the stick horizontal.

Almost all my buns tend to rotate about 60 degrees over the course of the day. No amount of pins will hold the bun still, but it doesn't fall out, either.

Today I am wearing the claw I use in the shower because I have been trying to take that shower for a few hours now, but a needy toddler recovering from illness keeps changing my plans.

Thanks! I got it on ebay a while back, after half my hair toys went missing (grumble, stupid sisters and cat grumble) including the wire ones I had made. I was in need of a pretty wire hairtoy!!!
I'll try to take a better pic for you so you can see how it is wound in the middle. It's one of very few pieces I have that are goldish colored.

Right now my hair is "up" with a "headband" that is basically my long strap of leather tied around my head.

I know what you're talking about. I think it's called a weaved bun or something like that. It's a very pretty style. :)

Today I did a twisty updo with lots of bobby pins (I LOVE bobby pins) and a small decorative comb. It's super comfy and took only a few minutes to do. Got a compliment on it at the store today. :D Pic is in my album.

I wore a French Twist today, which surprises me. I have that Anne Akers Johnson book on hair styles, and it says that a FT comb is something that is only good for one style, but it is better than anything else for that style. She was right! I picked up a cheap FT comb at the drug store last week, and I can finally do a French Twist and have it stay up!

Braid with no metal rubberband on tassel. have been wearing the braid all day every day for over a year now, except when i wash or brush. just seems easier to deal with hair growing in a braid instead all over my back right now. weird used to love to wear my hair loose all the time and now it usually in a braid most of the time.

I have wavy hair but today I straightened it. I wore it out but I was at school so I had to put it up in a loose low-ish ponytail, with a ribbon! Now I've washed it and it's all pinned up in loops so that it goes curly.

Today I decided to do two infinity buns--one on top of the other. I'd been meaning to do this style for ages but the few times I'd started to try it, I wound up having issues and not being able to get it looking ok as I ran out the door to somewhere. Today it is hot and I wanted my hair up. Surprisingly it worked the first try. Oh, and they're held with a pair of twisted bone sticks with purple flower bead toppers.

Failed experiment today :) I tried out a braiding style I saw in an album yesterday and I need at least another yard of hair to make it look decent, so I made a regular bun out of it. Somehow, it ended up looking nice.
