Hmm, you know even the universal ones or the ones that come with a blow dryer are "just right", not too big, not too small, but there is one that is "famous" in the curly hair community and it is this one.

It's called "Black Orchid Hair Diffuser". It's big, and it looks like this:

    Such pretty waves.

I wish mine were more even but I don't think they turned out too badly other than the straight middle but that's 2a for you! I do think my hemline is much nicer now that I've decided to maintain around BCL.

(couldn't decide which picture I preferred so both!)

Man, I suck at resizing xD

I wish it looked like this more often; I prefer the waves around the middle, and my sorta sproingy ends. And so much less frizzy. No difference in either routine, though. Shampoo, conditioner, air dry without manipulation.

Yay for 2a's inability to be consistent?

I bought an InfinitiPRO today, it seems like it a good size. I'm waiting for wash day so I can play around with it and learn how to do it right, I've never really used one before.

I've also seen people use a kitchen strainer as a diffuser!! Just scoop your hair in and aim the hairdryer at the bottom. I can't speak from experience- my hairdryer came with a diffuse (Remington). But I was impressed that someone came up with this.

I've seen that hack, but since I didn't have either I figured I would just go for the real thing!

Yeah... that hack? It's a pee-poor hack. Honestly, you are better off just using your hand to cup the hair. And since you aren't going to let it get to burning (burning is too hot, if the airstream burns your hand it's too hot) it's pretty do-able.

Wise words.... using your hand would definitely be a good way to keep track of heat levels.
