Hi everyone, I'm very excited to meet so many of you who are as obsessed with hair as I am, hahaha!

I'm very much a purist. I've only ever really dyed my hair once, over a decade ago, and like to lighten it purely with sunlight (I know it's damaging, but it just makes me too happy not to), although I have done short bouts of chamomile rinses as well.

I've just started sooort of water only (I'm about two weeks in), but will likely need to do vinegar-water rinses every so often to combat extreme waxiness. Just did one last night, and one last week as well. Hopefully that will be temporary and not as necessary after the transition period. I have well water and it would not be worth getting a filter because of how often it would need to be changed. Got a BBB and it makes me happy. I may do occasional herbal rinses for fun as well, and maybe make a chamomile infused vinegar, because I have a thing for herbs.

Before that I was doing just a natural shampoo and conditioner about every three or four days. (I've done the baking soda/vinegar no poo method before when my hair was much shorter, and after some months I found it to be too drying for me. Same with just baking soda and no vinegar rinse.)

I'm aiming to avoid having to trim as much as possible, and looking to grow to hip length or longer. Currently at 29 inches from the top of my forehead, down my back to the ends. It has layering that I somewhat regret putting in last year, but it was pretty damaged, so it's certainly healthier than it was.

I think that's probably the gist! My photo is from a year ago, so I do need to update it. I've gotten more sun this year, so it's notably blonder. It starts out as what I consider to be a darker shade of blonde, which looks different in different lighting, and sometimes can appear almost a little reddish to people. I have a lot of fine hairs, and they're very absorbent. Waves and some spirals in there. The back is curlier than the front, and the length at the base tends to be straightest.

So, that's the stuff on my head and what I do with it. XD
