Profile text limits

I just inadvertently truncated my Haircare Routine in my profile because I apparently exceeded the there unstated limitation on the number of characters allowed and so lost a significant portion when I saved my update.

What is the character limit for this text box?

In the absence of an answer, maybe try again, and be sure to copy your text before you submit, that way, you can finagle your way out of this issue.

I've tried filling the textbox with characters to see how many will be retained when I "save" my work. It seems like 831 fit before truncation but since this board does not respect tabs white space I "needed" for formatting accounts (or rather accounted) for much of this. Just want to know the exact space available so I can plan in a text editor beforehand. Perhaps this number can be increased for vBulletin's software? Text takes very very little space to store (only 1 byte per character) so there could be no significant overloading of the server by increasing 831 or whatever it is to something more reasonable like 2048

Alternatively, what about simply allowing TAB characters?

LOL but it's only big for what it doesn't contain - all the whitespace to format it "nicely" into its natural sections. As you well know, haircare is MANY parts

ETA: actually that "whitespace" here is ".", the closest to actual whitespace vBulletin allows to generate pseudo-tabs for layout. It does not respect multiple spaces or tabs in those text boxes but collapses them automatically into a single space, irritating to be sure
