You are right lapushka. Getting into the routine that does not include touching and playing with my hair will take time but it will be worth it!

I have one week of no unnecessary touching behind me. I still keep thinking about touching my hair and I miss S&Ding dearly, so I'll just keep going until those thoughts and feelings go away. I aim to get rid of the nervous hair touching entirely but maybe at some point I can allow myself to do S&D sessions again, who knows when sigh

I should join in. Unnecessary touching, twirling and whatnot is my biggest hair sin. There's one section of hair on the right side of my head that used be a lot more damaged than the rest of the hair only because I constantly touched it, made little braids etc. I don't even know why I did that. Now that my hair is much shorter than it used to be, all the damage has been cut off and I'm trying to grow it, I've tried to avoid playing with my hair. It sure isn't easy and requires conscious effort. Not being able to wear hair up for months doesn't help either.

Welcome tekla! Let's do this and get rid of the bad habit.

I had that same, damaged spot of hair on the right side of my head... I belive it's still more fragile compared to the left side. I also tend to sleep on my right side so there's some mechanical damage happening from that too.

Two weeks of no S&D and unnecessary touching. I would love to do some S&Ding but I won't. Luckily soon enough I won't have time to think about this So the NUT challenge is going well enough for me.

I'm in. For my scalp. I tend to leave it alone (when my hair is fresh and clean) but when wash day is near and my scalp and canopy starts to get greasy I start to touch it, sometimes unconsciously. Don't know why though.

I'm in too! I touch my hair WAY too frequently, and my face as well. I'm also doing the month-long "Wear Your Hair Up" challenge to also try to help me break this habit. So Here goes a month of not touching my hair and face!!! I'll maybe check in weekly.
I have faith in us! We can do it!
