Default very stupid problem I have been having with my hair...

Hello I have the weirdest problem with my hair... Okay, so I have almost waist length hair and pretty thick...you would think I could do anything with my hair..well I can't/don't ever wear my hair all down! Kind of long story but I had side bangs and they grew out so i wanted side bangs again but the hairstylist who trimmed my bangs pretty much messed up (my life story) and when she didn't even charge me for it, I should have known something was up. Now I can't even wear my hair all down because I feel it's fugly. I can't even put my hair half up like every other woman/girl! Because the hair on my sides don't seem to grow or grow at a slow rate for some reason. I was in a car accident few years ago and they had to cut one side of my hair to stitch my head... Anyways would pictures be helpful to better understand what I am talking about? I don't want to go to another hairstylist and have them mess up my hair even more. I just want to be able to wear my hair all down instead of always wearing baseball caps or ponytails... I am sad....

Oh im sorry your hairstylist messed up. We all have been there Im trying to grow my side bangs too. My hairstylist kept them short, cause balayage looks better that way (according to her), but now im growing my natural color and i find so hard to grow my sides as well. I've found diadems very helpful and stylish. Some times i secure the sides with hairpins for extra grip. I hope it helps you!

    First of all, welcome here!

I would just leave it alone; best thing to do after a bad haircut is to grow it back out, then have it fixed by someone else.

Good luck; and good luck on your journey.

I really don't understand what you're talking about. You might have a cowlick, but there are ways to work with it.

I think a picture or two would be helpful. I'm not sure I fully understand either.

Do you mean little wispies on your temples? Mine never grow and are really thin now since having a baby a year ago. I feel wearing all my hair upand back draws more attention to those areas though so it may be something different you are talking about. I second or third that a pic would be most helpful to explain.

What is preventing you from wearing it down? Does it have antigravity properties or do you just refuse??

Does it hurt to wear it down or something? Or are your baby hairs all gone so it looks odd when your hair is up?
