    That's it. A month of heat-free styling is not going to solve the damage that has already been done, sadly. It only affects the new growth. In fact, it's like growing out from bald. Check your hair for white dots along the strands, as those are signs of heat damage and hair is easy to break at said points.

    Welcome! If you've stopped using heat, that's one of the best things you can do for your hair. Just give it lots of TLC. You've come to the right place!

    Welcome and happy growing! Not using heat, keeping your hair moisturised, gentle combing, protective styling and patience (plus several years) will do wonderful things for your hair

    Oh, and learning to love your curly hair for its own beauty, and not wanting it straight
