Question Possible for hair to grow faster during certain seasons?

I honestly think my hair grows faster in the spring/summer. I'm not sure if it's just because I am a spring baby and spring is when I feel at my happiest. Or if it's because of my new routine. [New routine : The past week I kept it in a bun with some Hair-sticks I bought. I am trying the CO method sense (Started 2 weeks and 5 days ago) it's soooo dry (It's still super frizzy/Dry but I'm giving it a month to try out.) Aaand I have also quit soda's completely (I have seen a significant change in my skin sense I have quit sodas ^-^] My hair has always crept slowly and it never really stopped growing, but lately it's been doing leaps to the point to where I notice. Like Wednesday I actually sat on my hair for the first time! Can this new routine really be helping That much? Or is it a mixture of warm weather and my new routine. (Side note In the past years I did always notice that during summers my hair would tend to grow much quicker)

Definitely possible. I swear my hair grows in fits and starts. I've had long periods of no growth and still ended up with about average growth over the course of a year, like it made up for lost time. It's easier for me to not monitor my growth rate, so I don't start fretting about it.

I think what you put into your body far outweighs the topical things you can do. So quitting soda's is great - whether or not it has had an impact. I'm not sure. If you always grow more during this season, then it's really nothing you can do.

Mine definitely grows a little faster in spring/summer, too. Just another reason I love the warmer weather!
My skin also improves this time of year. Everything just gets so dry and uncomfortable in the winter.

The last year that I kept records, my hair grew fastest in summer and fall, slowest in winter. I plan to start a seasonal growth thread at the spring equinox.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who grows faster in the summer ^-^

I'm opposite. My hair definitely grows faster in the winter. It looks nicer n the winter too. Shiny and smooth instead of frizzy and poofy.

I have about even growth throughout the year. My hair is always half an inch a month - I kept tabs on it years ago for a year, if I remember correctly. Sometimes it feels as though the growth in spring/summer is faster, don't know why. Oddness.

I only started measuring in november so I don't know, up until now my hair growth has been a constant average of a good half an inch a month, I'm hoping for an increase in summer months, but we'll see.
