Default Anyone seen a 'fish' clip, but metal?

I love these Scunci 'fish' shaped clips:
    https://smile.amazon.com/Scunci-Hidd...%2C116&sr=8-23
but I seem to break them easily, whether while putting them in or just clumsiness setting them down somewhere dangerous. Has anyone ever come across clips like this, but in metal? I'd love to buy some but have exhausted my search skills at this point - searching for fish clips gets you clips with fish designs on them (which is also cool but not what I'm looking for at the moment, maybe later...)

Thank you for any help you can give!

Hmm if I was looking around for something similar I don't think I would use the word "fish",
it just doesn't seem to describe the clip to me.
But off the top of my head, I've never seen a round metal one like that.
Do you place it around the base of your bun?
Much love to all my fellow long hair peoples!

Aren't those the ponytail clips, the ones that you just put around a ponytail? Says "jaw clip", so I guess that would have to help in the search.

Never seen those out of metal, ever!

I got some from Amazon, quite a while ago. They were too heavy for my fine hair.

huh. I got the term 'fish clip' off the other version of the Scunci packaging, that I can't seem to find anymore, and just assumed that was what people called them! Yes, you can put them around a ponytail or bun base. I'll keep looking! Thanks!

.I was thinking they would be good only for thick hair.

Bun base? If you ponytail-bun, then? Because the buns the way we do them hardly require hardware until finished (pull a fork through).

I've seen them and thought they were cute, but it seems to me one would have to have a ponytail of exactly the circumference of the inside of the clip... if you had less, the clip would slide out, and if you had more, it wouldn't close/hold the hair...

(But yes, I've seen them called "fish clips" as well.)
Putting it in my signature because I have to say it so often:
Do what works for your hair, not what other people say is "right" or "wrong." If it works for you, it's not wrong. If it doesn't work for you, it's not right.

Yep, in my case they don't shut. I once had one of these, well sort of, back when the cleopatra style was popular (80s), and it looked more like a straight bit of plastic that you just wrapped around a pony, kind of like a high tree skirt. LOL

But anyway, I had the world of trouble because that sucker refused to close on me!
