Mine is now 2.5" - prior to my shed, it was 2.75, hoping it will go back to that, sigh.
I have heard the mermaids singing... and I do think that they will sing to me...

I think that's super sad! Enjoy what you have, Trees, because I have seen your hair on this forum and in my eyes at least, FWIW, I think it's beautiful!
My mom has i hair and used to be a good average ii. Her hair now is about a marker in circumference. It's not a lot, but she makes it work. There's always cute hairstyles to emphasize what you have! Mom used to wear a bee butt bun on her crown with thicker bangs in her 40s (flaming red hair), it was about BSL. Now she's a medium blonde tone, and wears a peacock twist and it's somewhere between shoulder & APL. She's just turned 74.
I couldn't imagine having hair as thick as some of you! I think I would keep it short haha. I'm already so impatient with the hair I have and struggle to braid sometimes.

I don't know if I'd manage iii thickness hair either. I would probably get frustrated with it. I might just be biased, but I feel that ii is the best of both worlds for me. It's thick enough (actually my hair is considered pretty thick here where the average ponytail thickness I see is sharpie) but not so thick that I would get "thick hair issues". Well, I don't get thick hair benefits either, but I'm willing to sacrifice that.

Me it’s the opposite, I would trade my “scalp cleavage” and thin braids for heavy/non-doable buns anytime! haha.
But at least I’m able to grow my hair long so for that I’m grateful.
Mine is sitting at 8cm, which is 3.15 inches, I think. I'm happy with that!
