So I keep searching for a routine with natural products that makes my scalp happy...
But man I agree that fresh ends are addicting. I have crazy sharp shears and I love to use them. But still I want to get past waist, where I have been all year!!!
Long hair until Henna disaster April 2014.... Big Chop April 2015 to cut it out. Growing my natural color long! My blog

LLL -- I sympathize! It sounds like you'll be ready to simply grow once that last layer is gone. That's really encouraging! Whatever you decide about trimming, you can tell yourself that you'll put the scissors away once you trim, say 0.5 in into that last layer to clean it up. Then you can just go for length!

I'm celebrating a bit right now because it seems as though I am SO close to reaching tailbone... Thoughts? Am I correct?! My hair is uneven but it seems the sides grow faster than the middle. I'm letting it grow past tailbone before I even it out... If I have the patience and self-control to do so.

Yes, that's exactly right. Just need to clean up the bottom 1.5-2" hair and I'll be golden!

That's not fair! (joking here) you should glue those ends back on and see if it feels better again. But seriously, that rots. Sorry. I wonder what is making them feel worse... change in products, routine, needs more deep conditioning?

Yes, it looks very close to TBL. Congratulations!

Sending strength to you LLL through those last bits of growth you need to be done with your layers! You'll be growing super-fast after that!

Gorgeous hair Meleil! For some reason, I'm bad at spotting the body-markers, but I'm great at spotting gorgeous hair. It looks fantastic, whatever length it is!

Just found this self measuring trick out recently. Sit on a hard chair and pull your hair down with one hand and the other hand take a ruler and measure your ends to the chair seat. This gives a pretty accurate measurement as to how from from tbl we are. I am 5 inches, so hopefully in 10 months??? Hoping!!!

But your hair really does look like you are already at tbl! Very pretty! If you measure from the chair seat, please let us know what you find out! Thanks!

I'd say you'll be there within an inch or so! Congrats. I'm right at that point as well, but I have a "big" inch to go.

I'm becoming discouraged. Many of my hairs are split. I've never dyed or bleached my hair and I flat iron once every 2 months, probably less. I really love long hair but I don't know if I can deal with all these "rules". I love wearing my hair down and occasionally using heat on it. And I think I'm ready to change my color. I may want to even get some layers put in.

I'm going to the salon in a few days. I haven't been since this time last year for about 4 inches cut. While I'm not going to cut my hair short, I'm going to change the color and cut. I'm pretty excited!

Whoops! Looks like I won't be going after all. My mother and father don't really want me to change my hair color and I don't want to cut my hair if I'm not going to dye it.
