I'll wear mine down around the house as long as it's not getting in the way. But usually it ends up in a pony.
Don't tend to wear it down in public at all. I feel like it eats my head LOL
Mine is down when I'm down (sleep), and up when I'm up.![]()

Whenever I'm out and when it's drying. And whenever I want to look decent. It's my go-to "style".
For the most part, mine is up from about April to mid-December (it does get hot in FL, I don't care what the Tourism Bureau tells you), unless it's been washed and is drying. If I'm relaxing at home at night, it might be down, it might not be.
During the winter, I wear it down (contrary to what the Tourism Bureau tells you, it DOES get cold in FL--downright frigid!) and use it as a hair scarf when the wind's blowing. I do keep a hairstick in a jacket pocket for when I get inside or it starts getting in my way--and I do keep a pair of chopsticks in the glove box in case I forget my hairstick (thank you, Local Neighborhood Chinese Restaurant!). When I'm inside, though, it's usually up.
Not Cut, But After Washing, Before Brushing and Bunning...Baby steps!
I'm also in a wear hair up challenge, for as long as I can wear it up! Before I started, almost a month ago, I was wearing it down mostly. Now that I've started wearing it up all the time, I really like it!
My hair is never tangled now ,where as it was always getting tangled before, especially at the nape of my neck. It also makes getting ready in the morning easier, unless I'm trying out a new hairstyle. But if I just do a simple bun, it's a breeze! So I feel like I should just wear it up mostly and wear it down... for special occasions?

Up mostly at work, commuting, hiking, working on projects, driving. Down when sleeping, going out, when I am in the mood, when it is drying.
I'll admit to liking the feeling of walking into a stiff breeze with my hair down. Yes, you can picture a puppy with the head out the car window.
I only wear it down when I'm washing or drying it (it doesn't seem to dry at all when contained). Other than that, it's always up, just because it's more comfortable that way and helps prevent tangling.
on wash day and to sleep sometimes. Apart from that I pretty much wear it up every single day.
