Yes, he can/will shorten the prongs. Message him through etsy and he'll tell you how to proceed. It might take him a little bit but he'll get it done.

It seems "just" perfect for your bun, I'd hate for you to have them shortened (they'd be too short if he even takes half an inch off). I'd not try and do this yourself, at the risk of ruining a perfect piece. Send it back to him and do it the right way if you're serious about it. But in my eyes it's the right length for the bun.

If your goal is longer lengths, I wouldn't shorten it. I have grown into several pieces and am grateful that they work for me when older favorites no longer do.

ETA: Labradorite is absolutely one of my favorite stones in the whole world. Nice fork!

Thank you all so much for your input. The FPL works in a bun with some length but in my usual LWB I've got Prong for days!

I'll send him a PM and see what he can do. I've waited so long for the perfect labradorite piece and this is so close! Totally worth waiting a couple more weeks if he can shorten it, making it perfect.

BonBon, it's yours if I do decide to part with it

    Life's short...Buy the hair toy...

Snapped a decent pic of my four prong fork in the afternoon light. Right by the dumpster at my job lol. I'm crazy. :P

Oh my goodness you guys, after a year and a half of being misplaced I found my first Quattro fork today! I had completely given up on ever finding it and mourned it's passing and moved on with my life, and then found it today going through boxes of stuff in storage! I don't remember if I ever posted here when I first got it, but here it is now, back from the dead:

(Kind of a cruddy picture, labradorite is so hard to photograph.)

Only problem is, it's almost too small now! I wonder if I could swap it for a longer fork on the swap board in a year or so, when it gets completely too small maybe?

Oh it's pretty. You can still push it in a bit further. It is so sad he only makes these multi-prongs ones in 4 inch length, or about that length. I mean, there are those of us with longer hair, you know.
