Tbh it looks like the start of 2b/2c wurls to me! But 'the start of' isn't quite the same as *what is*, I'd have to go with 2a for now - although the hairs aren't long enough to form full waves yet, there is way too much pronounced curvature going on to be anything less, IMHO
I fully agree with 2b/c. I saw the picture and immediately thought of my own hair; and then I saw your post directly below. Great minds think alike eh? For DropStitches I mean... If it isn't 2c.

Ooh, do you think so? I’d put 2a/2b when I first (re-)joined the site in 2020 (mind you, I only had a few inches of hair then, so it was hard to tell!), so that’s exciting to be wavier than I thought! It doesn’t wave/spiral all the way from the root, only further down the length - I don’t know if that influences things. Thanks for the opinion, lapushka!

You're so welcome! It's wavy all right.

I submitted a photo for hair typing back in 2019 when my hair was about apl, but I'm curious to find out if it has changed since that. I personally have no idea. Still 2a? More towards 1c? I might do another try in summer when my hair can just air dry, had to cheat a little with towel drying this time around. Still waited 4 hours for my hair to dry, though...

I would venture to say that 2a is about right.

I have no clue what my type is, can anyone help? This is my hair after clarifying and air drying, no leave-ins or stylers, and no combing, finger-combing, or brushing.

Ooh interesting! I can see a clear demarcation in texture between your bleached and unbleached lengths - at least I assume that mark is where the bleach stopped - so I’m not sure what your natural hair texture would be. I think it’s reading 2b now.

It's so weird cuz I before seeing my own pic I would swear up and down that the crown of my head has a wave to it, too. My bangs and new growth do for sure -but shorter hair always behaves differently, and my 'bangs' are a result of grown out bleach damage so...who knows. I haven't seen my natural texture since I was about 11 or 12. For now I guess I'll treat it like 2b, and see if anything changes as it grows out
