    Default The rinse-out oil method

    Hello,
My hair is waist length and fine. It is not damaged because I have never did heat styling or processing. I wash my hair w/good products every other day because I tend to have oily roots. However, the ends of my hair are dry and their ends are little not splited.
Does the rinse-out oil method help prevent split ends?

I have not tried this method, but there is a thread talking about it here

It does sound like a method that is best for the curlies and coilies. Or any hair that soaks up oil well. I'm just guessing. This method would weigh my hair down alot.
Best prevention of split ends is to avoid damage and you seem to be doing well in that department

I find it helps cut down on frizz. No difference with regard to split ends.

The link to the original thread is in my signature. If that helps; so much information already there.
