As I mentioned somewhere else, I feel my hair is behaving straighter in the last months. Yesterday I washed and air dried without any manipulation (and it took 6.5 hours, sigh).
    This is the result:

    Ends close up:

Humidity was mentioned in another thread, so I manage to find my last typing picture. This was January 2022, and my hair was 3 inches shorter than now (and thicker than now):

What the heck is going on? are those 3 inches to blame?
Another thing I can think of, is that back then, I still used styling products to enhance the waves. Obviously, it isn't the case of that picture, but I wonder if that affected my waves pattern even when I wasn't doing anything.
That frizz in my today's hair is actually composed by curly hair. It's like my head is growing two different textures...
It also gives some overmoisture-vibes, but believe me, it isn't. I used my stronger shampoo and my lighter conditioner because it does always feel so soft and easily weighted down!

Bri, I think your hair is typed perfectly. Gorgeous BTW!

Gha, so gorgeous Bri Your hair is how I wish my waves were (my frizz is also curls, just like your describe, but it's been that way for the last 5 years at least and no sign of any extra texture making its way down since the past couple of years).

I see the difference between the one before - humidity could well account for that - but I still think your typing is right.
Length goal well and truly met, now just seeing how it grows ...
Picky scalp but easygoing hair, thank goodness

It makes me a bit anxious to post in this state, I don't think it looks very nice when it's clumped up and not styled, but oh well. Posting it for science!
Looks like mine but longer and pure black. Suspect you would also get 2a if you took a photo before sleeping on it. I know you don't like it, but the way it clumps is absolutely A Look. It looks so smooth and healthy. How do you usually style it?

    Thank you for the feedback!
That firzz appeared 3 years ago, I thought it was some regrowth after I treated my anemia, but it never blended or went away.

It's been almost a year since last time I tried this, except last time I slept on my hair while it was still damp. Today I had to take a rare morning shower so I figured it was a good time to do typing:

Frizz city up in here! Now that I've taken pics I can finally throw on some Olaplex No 7 bonding oil - the best. Expensive but you truly only need a few drops so it lasts years. I promise I'm not a shill.

What do you guys think? Still 2a/2b?

    Maybe even a full 2b.

Those "upper" waves? No I agree with Bri. 2b! If not 2b/c... but that's up to you, you have to check the nape area for ringlets that sometimes occur. I don't type myself a full 2c because sometimes I get a couple ringlets, sometimes I don't. I don't know why. Maybe it's how I handle it when it gets washed, no clue. But that's your call.

Those are wurls, livelier than 2b waves, so I'd say 2b/2c. Gorgeous!
