Default Hello!

Hello! I am a long time lurker. My hair is currently at tailbone, and I'm nearly done trimming off some old layers.
My hair doesn't like sulfates, so I enjoy experimenting with different hair washing methods, such as rye flour or egg shampoo (Rye flour was pretty good, just hard to wash out of curly hair! Egg shampoo was much better). I caved in recently and got a regular sulfate free shampoo, love beauty planet mandarin, that I use once a week. Sometimes I'm just tired and need clean hair. I haven't given up experimentation thought, I have some bouncing bet that I planted recently, and once that grows, I'm absolutely going to try washing with it. I like wearing my hair in braids mostly because I have a sensitive scalp, I also oil the heck out of the tassel for protection with olive or monoi coconut oil. I dabble in hair sticks, I have a couple light aluminum ones. I wear a satin sleep cap to bed so my braid doesn't strangle me in the night. My goal is classic. I'm glad to be a part of the forum, thanks for having me!

Same thing as soapwort. "Bouncing Betty" was the name I grew up with. Some people call it "sweet William" or "lady by the gate."

Thank you! I think another name for bouncing bet (or lady by the gate, as shelomit said) is soapwort. It's also used to wash museum textiles, which is pretty cool!
