    Default Black blue hair dye

    Hi

I'm interested in dying my hair with Syoss 1.4, which is blue black. I currently have 2.0 on my hair.
I am curious is that even possible? Will the blue take or just the roots?

And also, could intense/jet black give blue undertones? Im pretty confused. Thanks 🙂

Not familiar with that brand at all, but looks like a basic box dye.

Presuming the black dye is darker than your current colour I don't see why it wouldn't dye your hair. The current colour of your hair will effect the result but it's not so much a problem with black, from what I've seen maybe the undertone will be different.
If you want to go lighter in the future, you won't be able to with another box colour - lighter colours don't lift darker colours (you'd have to use bleach to go lighter)

Internet reckons not all black dyes have blue undertones, so I'd probably stick with one that specifically has blue undertones if that's what you're after.
Maybe someone who is more of a professional can chime in!

You can't typically go "lighter" with box dye, darker, perfectly possible. Syoss is the brand my mom uses for dye (salonplex) and it's an awesome brand of dye!

    Good luck!

To be safe, test strand, though! Buy the extra box of dye for it!

Blue black is usually a deep black with blue undertones but it's not so noticeable as you think. It's something very soft and that blue shade usually go away very soon and you end up with just black hair. Probably at the roots it willbe a little bit more visible.

Yeah what bri said, blue in the black washes out over time, you can put blue semi over the black but it will be a blueish reflect, usually noticeable in the sun, in My album I have a photo of blue black and it showed up over hair that was already black but it is super subtle

Sorry for such a late reply everyone, but thank you all! I will probably just do regular black.
