I'm still laughing, although it is no laughing matter! What people do for beauty and to hold on for dear life to their youthfulness (me included).

We're not "allergic to battery acid" either, it's just straight-up pretty bad stuff and it's more unusual if you are fine with it. Same with hair dyes, I suppose. Even if you don't get any visible symptoms, I'm pretty sure no one's skin is enjoying it.
This is the perfect analogy! I'm gonna be telling it to anyone who ever talks to me about hair dye

I'll be honest I rarely ever patch test anything I use but hear me out, I do not have allergies or skin sensitivities. However, if something did happen to me I'd only have myself to blame. I only recently gave up hair dye myself & I've been dying my hair since I was 15 with the cheap at home 'crap' from a variety of brands. I've always had beautiful results without it ever causing an allergic reaction. Maybe I've been lucky or maybe some people are more prone to these types of reactions.

Honestly? You never know when something like this can happen, and it can just out of the blue happen to anyone. Even if you're not sensitive to anything at all. That's why usually they do recommend you patch test. But even then, it can still happen!
