I've been having a ton of breakage and shedding lately. It's odd because nothing's really changed hair care routine wise, and since noticing it I've stopped using my blowdryer (my last heat holdout, because I hate letting my hair air dry).

I'm still at about 2-3 inches away right now. Who knows how long it'll take. If only pouting made hair grow faster.
Hmm I wonder what could be making your hair shed and break? Maybe it could be rough handling or maybe it needs to be strengthened?

It may not be your hair care routine. It may have something to do with stress or nutrition.

WO/SO due to scalp hating EVERYTHING! Slowly regrowing from a massive shed and trimming often to keep the ends healthy.

You can still use your blowdryer, it's not "forbidden" or anything. I still use mine and I have classic length. Just use it on warm/cool. If you can hold your hand in the airstream without it burning, it's *fine*!

I am totally posting this in more than one thread (I also threw it in the mini-milestones thread) but I just managed to get my (somewhere between Shoulder and APL) hair into a flipped cinnabun and with my jeterfork it's staying very, very well. Assuming it's not super rainy tomorrow, I may wear it to work....

I have officially (barely) graduated out of this thread! I can't believe Im finally there but at the same time, not all of my hair is there yet and my hair is SO uneven from shaving it so much and growing it out with no trims whatsoever. Someone above mentioned they just managed a cinnabun and I noticed a few weeks ago I could do one too and have it not fall out. I would say if you can get one of those to hold on your head then you're close to APL

Wow, your hair is gorgeous! I love the color and the texture! Are that your natural curl/wave pattern?

I just checked with the towel, and I still have so much left until APL. I feel like there's a big space between shoulders and APL for me. While APL and BSL are quite close...
    Neck / SL / APL / BSL / WL+ / HL / BCL / TBL!
    Dye-free since Dec 2018.
2021 plan: grow & trim - get rid of layers & reach hip-BCL.

Congrats! Such gorgeous hair do you dye it?

I feel the same way! I am just trying to ignore my hair as much as possible until it gets to APL. Otherwise I'll be wanting to measure it every 2 seconds and just make myself sad that it still has such a long way to go. Once it gets to APL, the milestones will come a lot quicker.
