Default Seasonal shedding - when does it occur?

Many LHC members report experiencing seasonal shedding.
Sometimes I notice I shed significantly more than at other times, and I wonder if it's really "seasonal" and what those seasons are.
So please post when you tend to shed more and maybe location / climate where you live to give an idea of how climate may affect those seasonal sheds.
    Thank you!

I don't know - I have just had a big and unwelcome shed and don't know if it is a seasonal one (just coming into autumn here) or from recent stress. I haven't been an LHCer long enough to notice things like sheds before. Would love to hear others' experiences here.

I typically have a shed in late spring/early summer, somewhere between the end of May and early June. It usually lasts a couple of weeks. I also sometimes have a fall shed, but not as heavy as the beginning of summer shed.

I notice one in spring, and one in fall. I couldn't vote for multiple seasons.

I seem to be fall and spring, though the months depend on the weather. I'm in the northern US: cold, dry winters and warm, humid summers. I seem to have been shedding a bit more the last few days, along with having an itchier scalp, which corresponds with the first couple of thunderstorms of the season.

Fall for me. I experience shedding from mid-September to mid-November, more or less. During the rest of the year I hardly shed, it's just during early and mid-Autumn. Climate here is Mediterranean, dry, with cold Winters and hot Summers.

I shed during Sept, Oct and November. That is autumn here. I live in a high arid climate that sees wide fluctuations in temperature. Another determining factor might also be latitude. I live at 41* N. When I lived at 37* N, I didn't notice the seasonal effects of shedding as much.

Definitely seems to be fall / autumn for me too. I've only noticed it in the last two years, perhaps it's just more obvious now my hair is longer. This occured when I lived in both the southern and northern hemispheres in each respective autumn.

Thanks Quahatundightu, I was thinking perhaps the farther away from the equator one gets, (regardless if it is North or South) where seasons are more pronounced, there might be more of a seasonal shedding effect.

Wow! The answers confirm my own feeling, but I was wondering if I was just imagining it since I never measured my own sheds. I am currently shedding more than in winter months, and I remember shedding more in fall / autumn, too. I googled seasonal sheds, and it appears that most people shed more in fall and in spring.
It's never obvious to me which sheds are OK and which sheds are abnormal.
