Default hair brushes that doen't break hair

    Hello!
I am new to the forum.
I have fine hair not very fine...but still fine. Plus my hair are dry even they are not dyed.
And they are at my shoulders. I want badly to make them grow.
I am not brushing them regurarly but only after washing them and am i trying to shampoo every five days.
So i think that i should start by taking a good brush that does not break my hair.
In google you can find a lot of different brushes that are claimed not to break the hair. But i don't know what to believe.
So please if someone has tried a good brush that really works answer to my thead!

For me different brushes have different purposes. The tangle teaser is the best for after I shampoo to detangle. When I am getting my hair brushed to put it up I like my wood bristle brush. When I want to smooth my hair I want my boar bristle brush. These are all good brushes that don't break your hair but with any brush you must go slow and careful on the brushing.

And even more important than what kind of brush you use, is how you brush. Don't start at the top and drag the brush down the hair. Start at the ends, and brush carefully until the tangles are gone. Then move a bit further up the hair, and continue like that until you reach the top when you brush from the top, you pull tangles down the hair and it makes a tighter knot that is more likely to cause breakage.

Plus, it tugs more. Once I got this way of combing / brushing, I got so much less tugging at my scalp! When I have knots & tangles. Usually with great products, I barely (if at all) have any.

I advise to comb first, with a wide comb that does not have seams. Stop the moment you run into a tangle and gently untangle with your hands. Then use the brush once you have taken out the tangles. I have actually been using two combs before brushing now! One very wide, then one not as wide, and then a boar bristle brush only to smooth.

You do not need to brush at all if you don't want to or your hair does not like it! I often only brush my scalp to make it less frizzy and leave the length alone.

Do you have straight, wavy, or curly hair? Because that depends on when and how you're supposed to comb/brush.

This is really important. Recently, I switched to a comb for detangling. Sometimes I'll use a brush after for smoothing. I've noticed a lot less shedding this way.

    Hello! I have curly hair...
When i wash them i use conditioner or hair mask...so i don't have problem in detangling...but when they are dry i need a good brush that does not break the hair.

I love my Tangle Teezer. I know a few people with curly 3b/3c hair that swear by the Denman brush.

I honestly use nothing but my Tangle Teezer, and I have fine hair.
