Right now it's in a nice braided style. I sectioned a portion of my hair from front center curving to the nape (on right side). Then I made a french rope (lace) braid from that section. When I got to the left side of the nape, I took the rest of my hair, divided in 2, combined the new parts with the already excisting rope braid and made a side rope braid.

I have done something similar (I think) but I take the combined tail and tuck it under the lace braid part to make a faux crown braid. Haven't done that in awhile; thanks for the reminder!

After washing I tried the eternal roll vintage style. My hair is too short for it, especially at the back (nape) and the 'do is not very sturdy inspite of having a kilo of hardware hidden in there (=bobby pins). I think it looks fine in person, but once again it does not photograph well.

Yesterday was GoT Arya waterdancing hair. I used a spin pin on each side to anchor the braids/bun.
Wore it all day at work--cleaning in a fitness gym, then took a yoga class--laying on my back and flopping around--, and it held up great. :)

Yesterday:
Hobbit inspired "Bombur" updo (http://silvousplaits.com/hair-inspired-by-the-dwarves-in-the-hobbit/) for church. (Scroll way down to see the picture. It's the last one in the tutorial.)
After church, I took it down a little bit because the pins were bothering me. (I never can get pins quite right!) I took all the pins out, so the bun came loose and the braid hung down. Then, I just braided the loose section of hair, so I had a ponytail with 2 braids hanging down for the afternoon.

I oftentimes use 2 claw clips or jaw clips for my buns. With small claw clips I sometimes like to wrap my hair in a Cinnamon Bun and place them all around it (about 6-7 of them) and it seems to work well and very pretty! :)

Gibson tuck with accent braids.

I first Frensh braided my side hair on both sides (side parting), just few french stiches, then braided the rest of it in English braid. Then made gibson tuck (I made a higher one this time) with the rest of my hair. Then pinned each braid right above the tuck. Thumbs up!

My hair is in a caterpillar braid for the first time ever. It's a going-to-bed hairstyle for damp-ish hair for me because it looks a little funny but I actually like it. I hope it keeps my hair straight-ish for once.

Right now: braided, relaxed top knot.

(made a 3-strand braid starting from the crown (not elastics at either end), coiled it at the crown and secured with spin pins. This placement combined with no base ponytail makes the style loose, soft and relaxed.)

Today I wore a pony bun and it surprised me to find that the pony was long enough to get rubbed on the back of my chair in church. It was annoying and gratifying at the same time. I had to either lean forward or drape it in front of my shoulders.

Yesterday I did an interesting braided style. I split my hair in three approximately equal parts, and braided all three. The one in the back went into a braided bun, and the other two I crossed over the top of my head milkmaid-style. (My hair is too short at my current thickness to do regular milkmaid braids.) The reason I did this is that I went to an SCA event yesterday, and I needed the milkmaid braids to pin my veil to.

Today it's an English braid for now, but it may go up into a LWB here in a minute, because the end of the braid is making my back itch, LOL.

Fan bun with only a fork holding it up. This has quickly become my fav everyday bun style, I'll need to make somekind of how-to one of these days. It's easy, fast, no twisting, no hair ties or pins, gives bigger bun for short hair than many other buns, and also looks nice. Not the same look ofcourse than when pinned down to perfection, but nice never the less.

I've gone through several hairdos today. My hair is being uncooperative and doesn't want to stay put. I tried a sock bun with the actual sock, then with the form (neither stayed), then I went to a LWB (which also didn't want to stay put), and now it's in a cinnabun held with claw clips. Maybe it'll freaking well stay put now. :P
