    Question Most Protective Hairstyles?

1.Hey I was just wondering what hairstyle/s you would consider to be the most protective for your hair?

2.Do you generally wear this same hairstyle every day?

3.Does your preference very depending on your hairs' length?

4.What hairstyles do you generally avoid for fear of damage?

Yeah I'm a newbie , so please tell me if this has already been addressed, but I'm really curious.

I wear a lot of buns. They're easy to do and everything is up off my neck. Additionally once your hair gets to a certain length, you have a lot of options with buns, so it doesn't look the same every day. I wear a bun nearly every day. Your preference will change as your hair grows (or at least mine did). When my hair was your length, I preferred French or Peacock Twists. Now my hair is too long to really do either, because the ends are so long I can't get them tucked in. I generally avoid half ups or leaving my hair down entirely unless I'm doing something special because it gets tangled and potentially damaged when I have to comb out all the tangles. Basically, I only wear my hair down if I'm going to a party or on a date with my husband. I also avoid very tight braids. I don't use elastics much anymore (even though I always used the "damage-free" kind) because I think they're still potentially damaging (if used in the same place all the time) and I can do most hairstyles without them at this length.

ddianna1979 has already given you all the advice but I'd like to add that flexi8s are a nice clip for easy bunning. An LHC member, lapushka, turned me on to them a few months ago and now I can't live without them. I think their website is flexi8.com. Thank you lapushka, you enabler you!

A large. (I'm gathering that your circumference is around 2.5")
