Okay, I have given up on this challenge. I trimmed 1/2" off my ends today. They were horrible, and I had so many split ends. I haven't gained much length since giving up on trimming, and seem to have just grown more splits. Lots of s&ding wasn't helping so I gave in. I just can't make it without trimming.

No worries! You still made it half a year and likely gained some extra length because of it.

I've noticed I also need to get a little more involved in the S&D business. I sat down to do some but I have a decent number of tiny split ends in the front. Since I have been growing out that hair since it was as short as bangs, it is fairly roughed up. I don't think I will trim yet though.

I'm still here! No urge to cut at all. I S&D regularly, keep my hair up and that seems to satisfy me!

    Hope you're all staying strong

Amarante - Never mind. At least you have 6months of good growth! And i'm sure your ends look great!

I'm out. Trimmed an inch June 1st. I think I can only do this challenge for a half a year.

It's been 9 months since my last trim, and there's still no need to trim, really. It is getting quite long, though (hip), and I'm kind of thinking about having it trimmed. Oh well, still hanging in there for the time being!

Hanging in strong. My last trim was November 2011, 7 months ago. My ends cling to each other and I see them being bent at a 90 degree angle when I gently pull them apart. It's weird, I've never seen that in my hair before, but then again it is finally long enough for me to see the ends at the back. My ends have been clinging to each other since my trim though. I believe the hair dresser used blunt(ish) scissors. I hate not being able to cut my own hair but the haircut I wanted was too short for me to able to cut it myself. I have moments when I really want to get rid of the ends so they don't cling to each other anymore, but I have yet to trim. Soon... only 5 months to go.

In the past 7 months I have gained 5 inches. I started at 16 and I am now at 21. Pretty exciting stuff.

I'm hanging in too! Although I've been really tempted to trim. My ends are starting to kind of dry & clingy.

I haven't measured yet, but it feels like there is more length when I run my hands thru it. So, I'll keep focusing on that!

I'm still here, but it's getting harder. My ends are getting scraggly from all the s&ding. Looking forward to jumping on the microtrim boat next year, but I really wanted to finish the no trim year. Just trying to make the decision as to whether or not it's become counter-productive.
Microtrimming, cowashing, hoping for a miracle.

We are getting very close to the half-way point of the year!
I want to finally get back to Classic. Growing again starting March 2018.
