Question What type of comb do you use?

    Hi everyone

I couldn't find a poll on preferred hair combs. If there is a poll on this subject already. I'm very sorry

What type of comb do you use and why do you like it? How does it compare to others you have used.

I have used plastic with seams, seamless plastic comb, finger combing and wood so far.

The plastic seamed comb was terrible. It really ripped my hair out.

My preferred comb type is my Bodyshop wood comb. I really like how my hair responds to it. My hair doesn't break or snap. I also love how cheap they are

I also love finger combing. This really helps detangle my hair well and spreads oils evenly and most importantly...

I use those seamed combs that are made of plastic, with close set teeth, and a rounded top

And if i use it carefully it doesn't pull out any hairs, or snag at all

I use my fingers to comb as much as possible. Then use a thick plastic wide tooth comb to finish a detangle.

I am looking forward to purchasing a wood comb as my hair seems to like the feel of the wood.

    Thanks for this thread!

I have a celluloid (Madora) comb, a Hairsense "bohn" comb, and a HH horn comb.

My favorite is the horn comb, but the Madora and bohn combs are super useful when either my hair is wet or super tangly.

The bohn comb also works better in DH's super curly hair.

I use a horn comb and I love it. The difference between using that and a plastic comb on my hair is like night and day. No static, less tangles, less difficulty. I really get frustrated when I go somewhere, find out I need my horn comb, and realize I don't have it.

I'm the naughty one with a seamed plastic comb I've never had any problems with it, though tbh I don't use it much as I prefer to finger-comb then follow with my Tangle Teezer.

I have some wooden combs, one's from the Body Shop and two are from Grahtoe. I have several plastic ones, from rat tail combs to wide tooth combs. My favorite ones (in wet circumstances) are the wide tooth seamless ones made out of something called ebonite (http://www.hercules-saegemann.de/m1.php). The ebonite ones and the Grahtoe ones I love the most!

I use a Body Shop wide-tooth plastic comb; I think it is seamed. I also have a fine-tooth rattail comb, but I don't comb with it very much -- most of the time I just use the long skinny handle to section out portions of hair for braiding and such (occasionally I'll use then use the comb to smooth out the tassel of the braid).

I'd actually love to have one of the nice horn combs, but since my Body Shop number does fine by me and I'll been using it for a long time (and budget it tight), I don't feel like I can justify buying one right now.

A thin seamless plastic comb, and a wide tooth wood comb to detangle.

I use a seamed plastic comb with medium-thick close-set teeth and a handle. Why? I've never bothered to spend the time or money to find a better one. When I do, I'll probably get a seamless plastic comb or the wooden one from the Body Shop. Not sure how that will work on wet hair, though.
I want to finally get back to Classic. Growing again starting March 2018.
