Question Colour-safe products in the UK - recommendations?

Hey UK pals, so having just had my colour refreshed I realised just how much it had faded since the last visit, oops. Any recommendations for colour protecting shampoo/conditioners? I am not fussy, as long as it works, is relatively cheap (under £5 a standard 400/500ml bottle) or regularly on offer, and widely available. I do use cones but since my leave in is coney the conditioner can be either.

Try maria nila shampoos. It's a fairly new swedish brand and they specialised on products for color treated hair. I just started using the heal line (with some peppermint EO added into shampoo) and I love it so far! Lathers nicely and helps keep my dandruff in check. Smells nice too. It's sulfate-free and has some hair growth properties. I was looking for a nice piroctone olamine shampoo (for dandruff & hair growth) and this one fits the bill for me. Haven't used it for long enough though, but so far loving it. We'll see. I think you can get it from salon-services if you're in the UK.

I have heard of Maria Nila, I have one of the colour refresh products. A bit out of my price range for a regular old S&C if I'm honest, looking for something in the vein of Aussie/Garnier/HE etc. Thanks though!

Do you UK guys still have the "Organic surge" range in your stores? They used to do shower gels, shampoo, the lot. Not a bad brand. I just transferred a tube of shower gel to my handsoap container (had gone off a bit, but not *that* bad that it was unusable). I thought they were sulfate-free, but not entirely sure.

The Superdrug pro vitamin range is very good and also cheap too! They do a brilliant colour protect shampoo/ conditioner and I just had a look online - it's £1.49 on offer at the moment. I also like the Elvive colour protect shampoo / conditioner- they are very gentle and smell lovely too. I have also tried the Garnier Ultimate Blends colour shampoo - red bottles with added Argan oil- they are also very good too!

Except the Elvive (Elsève where I live) and the Garnier are sulfate shampoos.

Maybe the OP is looking for sulfate-free? I'm not sure.

Hmm I've never heard of that, had a quick google and I don't recognise the bottle from shops, it's not on any supermarket or chemist websites either so I doubt it's in stores.

I've had issues in the past with that Superdrug range, although the Extracts line worked great for me, I think there's a "colour" version of that. Will check out the Elvive and Garnier too, thanks!

Nah sulfates are fine with me, since I use cones on the regular, saves me having to clarify too often.

Then I have to say Elvive (Elsève) or Garnier are *fine* choices! I didn't know where on the spectrum you were (sulfate vs sulfate-free). The Garnier line especially is very nice!!!

If you don't mind silicones i would definitely recommend the red bottle of Elvive. I used to have dyed hair and this was the only thing i would use
