I don't think I ever used it on wet hair? For a while I was doing it on dirty, oily hair also
I almost always clarify before using henna, clean hair takes up the color so much better and I can wait longer after coloring before I need to wash. I do tend to let it dry before applying the henna though, its just easier to tell what I'm doing and it doesn't drip as bad. If I'm doing a whole head application, I will apply it to damp hair.
Yup, I've done henna on dry hair plenty of times. It doesn't seem to have any issues coloring my hair that I've seen.
Hi,
I always use henna on dry hair.
I too color with Henna on dry "dirty" hair. And I always add some coconut oil to the Henna.
So glad to know all this now, either way wet or dry its all good, I get lazy at times and wonder should I skip the washing step but washed anyway. But the color took just fine, so I'm pleased.
