How old were you when you started graying?

I skipped "gray" as well, and it went straight to white. Don't know why.

I thought all grey hairs were really white, but the mix of grey and pigmented hair makes it look grey, as opposed to white.
Unless you mean all of your hairs suddenly sprouted white at once ?

Yep, that's what I mean. They're all white, the few I have!

My grays are tinsel silver.

Saw my first gray at 23, after that they came in like an avalanche. I had so much gray around my face within a few years started coloring my hair sometime between 25-27 (can't actually remember when I started).

Early silvers runs in my family though.

I found my first grey hair at age twelve.

At the time, I was under considerable stress; my father was being treated for leukemia. I continued to find silvers here and there after that, but now I'm getting some silvers in in earnest! (And in a pattern. Yay!)

I found my first a few months ago and I'm between 25-26. I thought it was a blonde hair at first, but alas no such luck and now it has a few friends as well.
