it's a long time since my last length shot, so today I gave it a go. My problem now is that I actually can't see what length this is. What would you guys call this length?

I thought I wanted more length this year, but after seeing this up close, I think I need to do monthly trims until this hemline looks better. I see about four inches that need to come off. That's about a whole year of growth for me. I might take a whole inch on my next trim February 28th, and then see how it is.

I've been MIA for a few months, and I have to say that your hair is looking absolutely gorgeous Laura! It seems much longer than the last time I was on the boards

My favorite photo of the three is your "before", but I totally understand wanting fresh ends.

Welcome Saige! I've always found both Lilith Moon and Torrin Paige's YouTube channels have great long hair ideas:

Even though these videos prove that long hair provides so many options, I think after experimenting a little, most people with newly long hair settle into a few everyday favorites. Personally my go-to style is a simple side-parted cinnamon bun near the nape. I've only recently gained the length needed for it to stay put like that, and I love it. It's the hair equivalent of a black dress - it can look both elegant and casual depending on the rest of your outfit
