zashin, so gorgeous, both the texture and length! I agree with Spoons that you're further into the wavy zone than 1c/2a.

squirrel thank you so much. I haven't been fixing it up much other than my standard braid and bun. Not much imagination like TatsuOni

Now that my hair is dry and brushed out so what do you think about the 1a/2c?

Hair typing is done without brushing it out it's what it does when it's left alone to dry (no manipulation or styling like scrunching or finger-combing) that counts. If it dried with the same waves as the first photo you posted I'd say 2b, but if the waves sagged a bit between that photo and having dried I would guess they probably were 2a/2b but obviously without seeing them can't know for sure. Did you notice how your waves looked before brushing them out?

Well the first ones were little bit stretched out due to being wet.... When I've slept on a wet head and the hair had a chance to dry more horizontal the waves were more fun. There doesn't seem to be much difference between my braid waves from a single big braid and that. They disappear rapidly with loose braiding and twirled buns. So mostly my hair looks like this last picture from brushing and the like. So if I were to put product in my hair I might actually have some twirls of fun. My hairline hairs are much more curly. Out right finger ringlet curly. I can put my hair in a bun but then am frizz head because of these.

Things have been really rough this year. I post in blogs more than the boards these days.

I was fully prepared for a trim because after I found out my dad passed away, I fell off a cliff right into grief and did not do good things for my hair. I tried to keep it clean and braided, but that’s about it. There was a lot fuzzy blanket lint and splits, as well as stress shedding. It seems ok now that I’ve figured out the major underlying issues with it. It’s mostly behaved, and I’m ready to put my cone-y serum back into the routine so it’s easier to handle. The textures throughout my hair are not consistent and don’t play nice with each other. Cones help my sanity.
