I'd really love to know if it's possible for me to grow very long hair!

Aspensong has her hair down to calf. If you have the genes for super lengths, and you take very good care of your hair to avoid damage and breakage, then why not! The only thing that's making it difficult for thinner hair to reach super lengths (in addition to person's genetical makeup) is that it's more susceptible to damage in a way that there is less hair, so any damage seemingly hits harder. Also thin hair is more susceptible to visibly suffer from any possible hair loss issues, whether it's a normal seasonal shedding or something more serious, again only because there are less hair to begin with.
PS you can search members by hairtype, by using the advanced search in the members view.

Always behave like a duck -
keep calm and unruffled on the surface but paddle like the devil underneath.
I started growing mine out > 4 years ago. From pixie then it's past hip now. I'm always careful to detangle and brush slowly, bun it daily, and use a satin sleep cap at night. If you take good care of what you have, you should be able to grow it as long as your genetics allow.
