    Hmm to me it looks like french braids that are then wrapped around as heidi braids. They look like they are wound around the head sitting towards the front of the hairline vs. more near the crown of the head.

    I think that they're just French braids that are pinned behind the head instead of over it, like Heidi braids going over the back of the head rather than over the top.
