member here? not?

This is a spinoff question from the "unbefriending" thread.

In reading that thread I checked my friends (from "edit your friends list") and saw someone there, but the small "Friend" checkbox was unchecked.

I thought maybe this person isn't around any more and searched the member name, no such person listed.

Given who the member is I was surprised, and clicked their profile and it does come up, and apparently this person IS still a member.

Shall I assume I'm being ignored?

That is odd. How did you search for the member's name? Member List or Advanced Search for Posts by Member? There should be no outward sign that someone is ignoring you, so I don't think that's the problem.

I did it via the Member List.

I've had one or two people consistently not come up when searching the member list. It definitely has some glitches.
