    Default winter dry scalp

in the winter i get a really dry scalp. i'm guessing it's due to the hotter water that i use to wash my hair. i've tried oils, coconut, tea tree, etc... but nothin really works. it's almost like dandruff but it's not the same. just dry skin. does anyone else get this? and what do u do for it?

Yeah, I get the same, but in my case I don't think it's got anything to do with hot water because a) it's not winter and b) I don't use too hot water in the winter anyway because I can't stand the heat.

I'm going crazy, though, with this little dandruff-esque dust that is coming off my head when I scratch the itch it's causing me. lol I don't know what to do either. I'm thinking of doing my first SMT and see how that goes. I haven't found the time to try it, though.

btw, have you tried washing your hair separately so you don't have to use such hot temperature? Just wondering...

Yes, I have a similar problem too. When I shampoo with my homemade soapwort shampoo, I don't have this problem though.
