Rice Water Method?

Has anyone tried the rice water method if so, how did it work out for you?

Do you mean fermented rice water for hair? There's a thread here about it. I've used it occasionally. I'm a bit protein sensitive and find that rice water can mimic protein on my hair. But, I tried it a couple times with a drop or two of jojoba oil in the mix plus some orange and liked it. But, it's not a regular part of my routine.

Maybe I should try it again soon. The hot summer weather will ferment the rice quicker.

I did rice water (also assuming you mean fermented rice water--my blend included ginger and grapefruit peel, as well) for a good while last year, and I found it did lovely things for my waves/curls. I stopped using it because it just got a bit labor-intensive to keep making a new batch every week or two. I would absolutely use it again, though!

I tried the rice water rinse as well. It worked great for a couple of times, but then I noticed increased shedding. My hair is more on the dry side, so I guess the protein effect was too much.
