Has Natures Gate been discontinued??!

I've been looking everywhere for the Natures Gate Herbal shampoo and conditioner. It's been my all-time favorite, holy grail. My hair loves it. But I can't find it anywhere! It (along with Natures Gate as a whole) is gone from every single place I used to buy it, and when I looked online at their website I don't have the option to buy it from there either.

Does anyone know if it's been discontinued? If it has, I really think I might shed a tear.

Just here to empathize. While I haven't uses Nature's Gate in a few years now, I did notice their absence. A google search reveals they filed for chapter 11 a few years back. Maybe they're gone for good?

Seeing the insanely high prices of a bottle of shampoo on Amazon makes me think they did most likely close down. I would drop a email to them and ask.

I saw Nature's Gate hair products on iHerb about a year ago, still, but now that I checked, there was just one and it did say 'discontinued' on that one. Still a few body products there.

They used to have the Jasmine and the Lavender sets at my Walmart, but those disappeared about a year ago. It made me sad because I enjoyed the Jasmine set so much.

One of my favorite shampoos/conditioners many, many years ago was their original Herbal; it smelled so "earthy". I gradually tried other brands from the local Health Food store, each having their own benefits as my hair needs changed.

I checked online and it seems that the entire brand is nowhere to be found, except for some toothpaste still available at Walmart.com. Various hair products, from shampoos to conditioners, body lotions, etc. can be purchased from several sellers on eBay. That is where I usually go for discontinued items that are considered New Old Stock (NOS) and still sealed, never used.

Another one bites the dust, what a shame. I liked them from the late 80s until about 2009/10 or so. That’s around the time they took SLES out of the shampoos (which I prefer), but I still would occasionally buy their conditioners and hand soaps. I have seen this brand popping up at TJmaxx and Marshall’s recently, maybe that would be a good place to find whatever is left.

There are still a few bottles at our small town grocery store. Want me to look and see if they have the kind you want? I don't mind picking them up and shipping if you are in the US.

Nature's Gate belongs to "Mild by Nature" brand now. I bought some from iherb last year when it was on sale and it seems the same as before. The price is quite reasonable for pretty big bottles.

Have you been able to fine the conditioner? I have only found the shampoo. I normally use shampoo bars but I am tempted to buy the shampoo anyways just because I miss the smell 😅
