2 Years & 8 Months Later...

It's been 2.8 years since the haircut from Hell. I can't search for my posts for some reason, it says I don't have "permission" but here's the link to the thread I bookmarked: http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/...ad.php?t=79487

So here I was pre-haircut in October 2011:



and here it was straightened:



The photo below is the result of me asking the "reputable" stylist for LONG layers, the upper most layers at the top of my head were only 2 1/2 inches long and he took off 8 inches of length in the back overall. So I went from waist-length to just-under-the-shoulder-length:



And here I am now with a ponytail:



And here it is the way I normally style it, no pony, no clips, no headbands...just nice long natural curls:



Not bad for only 2 years and 8 months.

I still have some layers that are just under my shoulder that will need to catch up but overall I'm pleased and relieved. It was a l.o.n.g 2 years and 8 months!

Gorgeous hair! And it grew quite fast as well. And this is also why I don't get my hair cut (or trimmed) by anyone who isn't me anymore.

Great growth! I'm amazed at how much the stylist cut off. I guess "normal" standards of long are really warped.

In this first photo I can see your confidence, but in the after photo I can see the uncertainty in your expression. I would have flipped if someone cut that much more of my hair than asked for. The progress is great, and your hair looks beautiful!
