Is monistat only for hair growth?
I am battling ongoing dandruff that led me to no poo and LHC. I'm not trying to grow hair fast, but I would like to get rid of the flakes. Is it safe to use a product like this while nursing? Can I use something like lotramin? I already have some of that.

Re: Is monistat only for hair growth?
Monistat is helpful to some of us with increasing hair growth, but it often depends on 'if you need it'. As it is an antifungal, you may only benefit from its ingredients if you have a fungus on your head that needs treating. Not sure what Lotramin is, but the active ingredients in Monistat is Miconazole Nitrate which is what you'd be looking for.
I am not a DR but I'd be careful using it whilst breastfeeding as it will be absorbed into your bloodstream. Coconut oil and castor oil are great natural remedies for massaging into the scalp to assist with the dandruff.

I wouldn't try that while breastfeeding. Using oils on your scalp might be a better idea.
