There is no vitamin A in carrots. There are beta-carotenes, a precursor to vitamin A, but most people have diminished ability to make any significant amount of retinol in their bodies from those precursors. The best source of vitamin A are liver, fish and full-fat pasture-raised dairy.

Recipe (just in case anyone missed it)- A mashed banana, big pinch of cinnamon and two eggs, beaten together and cooked like regular pancakes in a non-stick pan. Makes about three pancakes.

I think this recipe and the advice to "Squish conditioner into your hair" are the greatest handy hints I have picked up from this site so far. Embarassingly enough!
Oh cool recipe. I love banana pancakes. I tend to add milk and whey protein into the mixture as well. And sometimes ground flax or chia seeds so they stick together better.

I have had beef liver today, some veggies and potatoes with it. And carrot cake with figs and cream cheese. And a giant bowl of pudding made from fresh full-fat milk, with bananas. Yes, I am absolutely a little piggy when it comes to food.

Well, I am just having my regular cheese, Marmite and lettuce sandwich and kiwifruit juice for lunch, I will have my regular pot of yogurt and cup of tea for afternoon tea, and a big salad and ham sandwich for dinner. Because today is Christmas Eve.

Tomorrow, on Christmas Day, I will go into a frenzy of piggyness that will be awe inspiring! Yes, I can see here already those Lindt Lindor chocolates in Irish Cream flavour, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Christmas fruit mince tarts, Christmas cake with marzipan, plus all the lunch and dinner things; ham, tomatoes, Swiss cheese, lettuce, and I will make Deviled Eggs on the day. Yep, yep, yep... I am going to be immobilised by gluttony. Happy times!

Tuna, cod liver, leftover potato salad. Chickpeas scramble, veggies, roquefort cheese. Chocolate cheesecake.
A very nice smoothie made of kefir, bananas, honey, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, flaxseed.

Happy holidays friends, finally able to log in after an age (though still no luck on my laptop, only mobile)!

Today we had espresso and crepes for breakfast, cucumber/tomato/mint salad with chicken & veggies at noon, and green chile enchiladas and cabbage salad for dinner. Candied pecans & pecan fudge for sweet snackies.

    Yes, we missed you, baanoo!
I pinched your salad idea for dinner, I am so in love with using fresh coriander I had forgotten about the joys of mint. Thanks.
