Yay congratulations! Welcome to the thread. I think this is the hardest length so once you are past here, you are all set. :)

Today, APL; tomorrow, BSL; Friday, Classic!
If only...
Happy growing and see you at the next length!
Wooohoo! Congratulations! That is an awesome milestone. I will see you over at the APL to BSL thread next month sometime hopefully. :)
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Congratulations to the leavers and joiners! Happy growing all. I wonder which of these milestone threads people tend to stay at the longest (SL to APL, APL to WL etc.)? Do you think there's more variety due to body types at different stages? For example, I should imagine there's less difference between where people's shoulders and armpits tend to sit than where their waist and hips tend to be... if that makes any sense! Perhaps it is just different for everyone at every stage. Anyway, which stage does everyone think they'll spend the longest at? I actually think for me the biggest gap is between my waist and hip, so I should imagine I would spend the longest in that zone. Although hang on a minute, wasn't my goal just for waist length hair? This place is contagious...
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
^ and by APL to WL, I did of course mean APL to BSL. Skipped a whole milestone there... we should be so lucky!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
At the risk of making myself sound really strange......I think I must have a VERY long back, especially from shoulder to armpit, lol. And even tho I think my hair is growing nicely and I can stretch almost to APL I don't know how long before it will reach it unstretched. It just seems so light and fluffy that it never looks much longer unless stretched. Oh well, I will call it stretched or I may never get there.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
My APL to BSL is a large gap, maybe the largest one I have. I haven't measured all my milestones yet though. Maybe I should...
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I think body type has a lot to do with it. I have a very short torso. My tailbone length is only 36 inches and Ive noticed from what Ive seen anyway that mostly 36 inches is about waist length or just shy of for some people.

Good question. For me so far it is Shoulder to APL. I think I have a long back also. Shoulder is like 17inches on me and dry and unstretched APL is about 24 inches. BSL however is at about 27 or 28 inches so its a much shorter gap. I feel like I reached waist pretty quickly after BSL but that could be because I stopped obsessing after BSL.

Same here. I took a towel pic today and dry and unstretched I still have an inch away from the towel. But, stretched it touches. And its not like my hair is super curly or anything.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I am tall, and have long torso but also a high waist (short distance between lowest ribs and waist) and "figure 8" hips (meaning hip bones start high). All my milestone distances are long, except from waist to hip, which is very short. I have done a body proportion analysing on myself, and my torso's length is mostly at the shoulder to bust area and from hips to leg break area. Waist is short like I said, other proportions avarage.
As a sidenote, I can recommend doing a body proportion analysing for anyone who is interested in learning to dress in a way that flatter you. A great resource is a blog called Inside Out Style by Imogen Lamport, she's an expert with extensive knowledge. I did my analysing digitally, on my photos. The measuring unit is one's head length. An ideal adult body is 8 head lengths tall, but since rarely people fit into the ideal, we all have our own proportions. It was super interesting to learn and it helped me to know my body better and to choose clothes that flatter me.

Very interesting......I did a thing once with measuring my body. It was back when I was a jogger and the test said I was more suited to skiing than running because I was longer waisted. I don't remember many other details.
