    Default Fairytale ends

    Hi everyone!

I'm a newbie to the site all the types of hair and the terminology and was wondering exactly HOW fairytale ends are achieved? It looks so natural that it seems they can't be cut that way? I have very short hair at the moment and using MN in the hopes of speeding things up so that I can achieve my dream hair: WL fairytale ends! So excited but soooo far away!!

Your hair does not all grow at the same rate and new hairs replace shed hairs so you will not have all same length hair unless you trim, hence fairytale ends. I have not cut my hair in two years and have no plans to do so so fairytale ends will be mine! Just don't trim and you will get there. Good luck on your hair growing journey.

Just don't trim or cut and it will eventually start to look that way.

I have fairytale ends, but they only look good for five minutes after they've been washed. They tend to get a bit wispy and wild.

But for that five minutes, what a sight to see! ;o)

I technically have them, but mine were achieved by getting a long layered cut a year ago and never trimming my hair. I really like the way it looks that way, rather than letting them grow from a blunt cut. I guess it's kind of cheating, though. :P

Yup, no trimming does the trick!

Between your hair growing at different rates, shedding and breakage, it just naturally happens.

You can S & D any splits / white dots to keep it healthy looking without making your hemline blunt. I snip them off about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch above the damage so I don't lose noticeable length. Some people snip more off, though. I'm very conservative with my snipping.

I didn't cut my hair for over three years and I couldn't believe how much it fairytailed. It really proved to me how much faster certain hairs grow more than others. It was amazing.
