Default Partless Crown Braid (Pic Heavy)

    PIC HEAVY How-to

I made a Youtube Tutorial! kmemuse's Crown Braid

I braided while wet so that means that it is not quite as tidy as it could be, but hey, the basic idea still stands right? -shrug-
I had a few requests for a how-to on this technique, so here it is:

    1) Section off a sort of half circle on the crown of the head, this will be let down later to give the appearance of no part.

    2) Begin braiding at the base of the neck in a lace-dutch-french braid technique, always incorporating hair from and on the side closest to the hairline.

    3) Continue braiding until the opposite ear is reached.

Made it to terminal length at mid-calf, now I'm maintaining at my favorite length: Classic!

    4) Switch to a more comfortable handhold for this angle (not shown in pic) and let down sectioned hair.

    5) Continue braiding in the lace fashion and remember to incorporate the hair into the side of the braid closest to the hairline.

    6) Braid out the tail, tie it off, and tuck it into the pocket made by the lace braid. Pin as needed. Finished!

    Enjoy! And good luck!!!

It took me a lot of practice to get this presentable (on dry hair mind you!) so don't get discouraged if it doesn't come out quite right the first time.

...Again wet hair does not compliment my braiding skills, it makes my braids look not so nice...

Ohh! That looks great! Now I just need to wait a few years for my hair to be long enough again.
