I crave the sight of long hair on guys - really long, like hip length or longer. My husband keeps his about 1 inch long or shorter, though. Love him, not so much the hair, but it's his and he does what he likes with it(and I do the same).

It's the same, it depends on what suits the guy best. I thought I only liked boys with "longish" and long hair, then I had a terrible crush for a boy whose hair was 1-2 inches. My current boyfriend is near shoulder length, he is able to do a short spiky ponytail.

It totally depends on the man.
In general, I admire healthy long hair on any human. In the case of my own man, I prefer that he keep it fairly short simply because I don't like the awkward shaggy stage on him. But I think he would look great with hair past shoulder.. he doesn't have any inclination to grow that long though.

When I met the guy who I ended up marrying he was growing his hair long. He looked after it too and was ever so proud of the fact that he used banana conditioner on it (and his beard!). He looked fantastic with long hair but unfortunately his hair started thinning from when he was about 24 or 25 and he was very aware that it was getting harder for it to look neat and tidy. He was a Civil Servant at the time so on occasion, he did need to feel well presented.
I guess it was about 5 years ago now that he cut it all off as his forehead was getting higher and higher! It now looks great when its really quite short though I know he yearns for long hair again. So I guess my answer is short or long I like them both and love him whether its one or the other Tiffers

I liked the way men did their hair in the 50s and 60s when it wasn't short but wasn't long and they took some time to style it and make it look handsome. Nowdays it seems like it's either super short or to shoulders with bangs in their eyes. If your going to grow it long go all the way so your hair will be long enough so we can see your handsome eyes. I have seen several men on here whose long hair I admire.

I do find long hair very attractive on men and voted waist and beyond, but my OH has a buzz cut and my ex before him was bald!

My guy: short. His hairline won't permit much else, but it really suits him.
Other guys it varies according to so many other factors. I just don't like it to look neglected. Regardless of length I just don't like it to look forgotten about. My old tattooist has pale blonde, waist-length hair he always ties back in a ponytail for work (I don't know about outside the studio) which was beautiful. The best long hair I'd seen on a real-life man; very Legolas!

I know it's been a written thread, I'm not sure about a poll?
