I ordered a custom hair shield (Shelot) only a few days ago, and I just got it. I also got a a surprise free hairstick along with it, and it came in this awesome looking fabric carrying case--that's GREEN.
Seriously, look at this! It's AWESOME!
The stick and matching shield on the right are what I ordered--the other stick was a very, very pleasant surprise. It's green, black, and has a die. What more could a green-and-black loving geek want more?
Close ups of sticks and shelot:
(on a side note--what the HELL is that on my hand? O_O It's not there when I look at it now! D: Edit: determined source of unknown substance: cake frosting--thank you work.)
A bun with the shield:
All pictures taken without flash except for the very last bun shot (for once :P). Also, forgive the frizzy hair--I just got off a morning shift in hell. Aka, the nursing home kitchen.
Anyway, she was wonderful to work with, and was really, REALLY nice. She's the second person I've done a custom job with after Nightshade, and if both of them are any hint, I might just have to keep getting them.
EDIT: GAH. PICTURES ARE FREAKING HUGE. I'M FIXING THEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! SORRY DIAL-UP USERS!

That is seriously sweet, GlassEyes. And Ravenslair does indeed rock. I need to kick myself in the butt and get pictures of my own shelot and sticks... They're very quality work and I love them to bits.
I'm loving those sticks, and the little Di is adorable!
I love them! Adds another place to my list of hair toy stores for when I have longer hair...
The die, you could probably remove the marble and put a 20 sided die in the spiral if you wanted to be REALLY geeky! XD
Fast typer.
I have fine hair that I'm working on growing long!
Love it GlassEyes

oh that is beautiful!
I have been ogling so many items on Ravenslair's shop... I caved in and made a purchase and maybe some day will get to have a custom too. Seeing your action shot makes me even more eager to receive my shelot.
Sorry for the hijak - that shield is really gorgeous and looks fantastic in your hair.
