    I'll put one there only during the time I'm braiding, but never randomly.

    I keep them in my purse or in a pocket.

    Unless it's in my hair, it's around my wrist.

    This is why I only have one or two favorite ones that I try not to lose, and a bunch of ones I never use, because different ones in a pack have different levels of stretchy.

    I really never wear an elastic band around my wrist. It's just a habit I have never developed. If I do end up thinking I'll need a band at some point or if I'm wearing one and I take it out then it goes right in my pocket. Usually when I have a styling aid like that waiting for just-in-case use it's a small claw clip. That's what I secure a regular braid with, but I'll clip it on to a belt loop. Sometimes I forget about that, too. I like all day styles so having extra stuff around isn't usually necessary for me.

    Now and then I'll have a scrunchie on my wrist if it's comfortable. I can't imagine being able to get a hair elastic over my hand and on to my wrist. If I did it would cut off the circulation. Are you talking about the regular ponytail elastics or something bigger? I have a 7" wrist.

    I end up with one there sometimes, usually when I've been wearing a braid and I decide to put my hair up.

    Yes. xD

    I usually carry two on me (one in my hair) because I've been known to break a few with my hair. xD;

    I always have some kind of clip or stick or elastic in my purse, but I never got into the habit of wearing one around my wrist.

    My friend in High School did, and we were on the swim team. Before her race, she took out her ponytail to put her cap on, and left the elastic around her wrist. She swam her event and then they told her she was disqualified under the "no visible jewelry" rule.

    Something like this. I just measured my wrist and it's 6": the elastics tend to fit loose enough for me not to feel them and not to leave a mark, providing I've used them at least once.

    I almost always have one on my wrist if I don't have one in my hair. I never know if I need to pull my hair up for something. Plus, it can get really hot under this hair. I like to coordinate them with my outfits. That must make me sound like a twelve year-old.
