Mid-thigh and fingertip lengths - what are your proportions?

Inspired by a discussion in the Average Length 2018 thread:

I'd always assumed that for most people, FTL came before mid-thigh but a few have said it comes after, for them, and no doubt there are some for whom FTL and mid-thigh are the same. So I'm curious, what are our stats?

Please also feel free to add any comments about how long it is for you between classic and knee and how tall you are; from many other LHC discussions it is clear that body proportions can be strange!

On me FTL is a long way yet from mid thigh. It will be 4-5 yrs for me from classic to knee, and I'm 168cm / 5'6".

I always thought it was classic,FTL,midthigh,knee, cuz fingertip length cant go down to right to knee unless you have very long arms and fingers.

I'm 5'6". Classic to knee is 14"... My highly unwilling and inaccurate son says my middle finger comes to 5-6" past classic. If we judge fingertip length by the pinky, it would be a good inch shorter even. So on me, it's
classic (about 42" I think?),
fingertip (46-48" depending on which finger and the accuracy of my kid's measuring),
mid-thigh (~49"),
knee (~56").
I can't imagine how anyone would do these measurements on their own! I guess I could have marked with a pencil on the wall and measured that. Kid was super grumpy about helping so maybe I'll try again with the wall.

Where are you measuring the thigh? The top of the thigh is considerably higher on the outside of the leg than on the inside.

I measure vertical distance from the midpoint of classic to midpoint of knee. Makes no sense to measure on the slant.

littlestarface true, but some people's arms/hands might be longer than halfway down the classic-knee expanse

AmaryllisRed aw, that's dedication to enlist a grumpy helper I measured my thigh lengths and things using a ruler that I could feel when it touched knee and I use a tape measure for my hair, but I don't have accurate overall body marker measurements. The wall and pencil sound like a good idea!

I'm 5'6" and classic to knee is 12" on me.
I called FTL at 3" past classic with my arms hanging naturally, not stretched out because they rarely make it that far - tight but weak muscles. It's 4" past if fully stretched. (I judged by middle finger, because that's my longest one.)
Mid-thigh is 6" past classic, and
Lower-thigh 9" past classic.

Wooooow, you weren't kidding about having extraordinarily long thighs (I believe you described them as 'caricature' on the other thread?) That's astonishing!
